It's ridiculous that this is legal in an era where defenders get tossed out of the game if they even touch a quarterback after he throws the ball.

There's a line between safety and taking the physicality out of the sport, but the hip-drop tackle is too dirty and dangerous. It's just as dangerous as the horse collar.

This threads two replays....neither tackle was a drop to the ground like dead weight needed.
