If we're going to clean house, Dez, Lee, Smith, and all the other youngin's can go right out the door behind all the other guys you mentioned. Because if they stay on this team while we blew everyone us up then we're just wasting their careers at this point. Which seems like what we're trying to do, we've done a very good job wasting Romo's career here.

I can't see a team selling out for Romo. There is too much media hate towards Romo and I can see other teams fanbases going nuts for a GM doing this.

Fanbases are dumb. If a GM ran his team based on what fans think he'd field a joke.

Romo has done a good job of polishing his own wasted career.

Lockers to be cleaned out at season's end:

Offense: Romo, Witten, Murray, Austin, Orton, Andre Smith, Tanner, Leary, Bernadeau, Weems, Waters

Defense: Ware, Hatcher, Heath, Spencer, Bosworth, Hamilton, Hayden, Pellerin, McCray, Nevis, Lawrence, Matt Johnson

Offices: Garrett, Wade Wilson, Woicik, Kendall Smith, O'quinn, Henderson, Eberflus, Dooley, Callahan, Brown, Bloom, Bech, Baker

Some people just don't get it. Hits you in the side of the head EVERY year. BIG, freakin sledge.

This team is going no where and will NOT change as long as jerry steals oxygen from those that deserve it.

With an offense that isn't devised on the back of a Denny's napkin I think he'd do much better. JMHO.

Trust me....it is not on the back of a Dennys napkin....but you do need a VCR to study film and learn the plays.

I think Romo can read a defense as good as anyone. I just think the plays are trash. It seems that the routes are either short outs or long developing monstrosities that don't have time to develop. The middle of the field is hardly attacked in favor of more difficult sideline routes.

What happened to the slant? Other teams abuse this team with them but when does this offense use it?

Last night felt like they didn't gameplan or practice at all. That's how bad it looked.

It just looks like Callahan or whoever rolls a dice and that is the play they run. No attention to how the defense has been reacting or where the rush is coming from or what down and distance it is...just run that play. Period.

0-9 on 3rd downs = not reading the defense well. If the middle is open, a great qb gets a receiver, TE or RB to that spot and makes the play. Romo can be coached up to be great, he's not there yet.

Are you trying to imply that Tony Romo doesn't study or know the plays?

All they do is a roll a D8 and the play is chosen.

What is Romo's career 3rd down percentage? That would be the only way to accurately gauge his true effectiveness in that area. Not saying he isn't to blame last night or wasn't bad but every quarterback has games on their resume that are far from stellar.

And I thought the coaching lacked common sense.

This season his qb rating on third down is 57.6, completing 47.1 percent of his passes, 3 TDs, 4 Ints, 9 sacks.

His career qb rating on third down is 90.8, completing 60.3 percent of his passes, 24 TDs, 14 Ints, 35 sacks.

Our schedule the rest of the way is cake, and we will win the East.

We will be happy, and Jerry will be happy to have a playoff game. The sting of this loss will be long forgotten and the coaching staff will be safe and sound.

Then, after the sting of a playoff loss lingers for 5 months, Jerry will pull his typical draft bonanza just to reel us all back in.

Giddy thoughts of a Super Bowl victory in 2015 will be on all our minds because Jerry said so.

It's a sick and twisted ride that we are all on. And Jerry is at the wheel.

Thanks. I'll have to look up his peers and compare though this season he's been bad.

He has been bad, and specifically on 3rd down. He often has had to hurry his throws, but that's not new from previous years. Callahan has not made Romo better, that is for sure.

Romo doesn't do the things that the great ones do pre-snap. He may try to, but the great ones make the right adjustments pre-snap, and get the ball down the field consistently. The potential may be there, though. A guy like Gruden could be the difference.

The Gruden talk alwways make s me cringe. One more time..... Gruden took a Superbowl team that Tony Dungy built and road them to the Superbowl. Heck, Switzer did that. Within a year, Gruden ruined that team. Theres a reason he hasn't coached since. If you want to watch people make funny faces on the sidelines hire Gruden. Why dont they just hire Cowher and watch him spit on everyone and repeat "LETS GO LETS GO" every time they make a play.

The offense has been terrible for sure and Romo is a part of it...after all he is supposed to have more input. But the playcalling and scheme drive me crazy.

People are expecting miracles from this guy. Only way they win last night was if Romo played a perfect game and the offense scored on every single possession. No other quarterback in the league has do deal with that pressure. Even the Jaguars' defense can stop someone a few times a game.

Having to have your offense be perfect to win a game will mean failure in the end no matter who your quarterback is.

That being said...Romo needs to step it up.

Agreed, the play calling and scheme are horrible. With that said, I saw a very lethargic Romo out there last night. A Romo who was again throwing passes that were off and he just didn't seem to be with it. I don't think anyone pins this loss on Romo and expected a miracle from him out there.. but man, "something" would have at least softened the blow! He should be one of the leaders out there not standing for this. He should be getting fired up on the sidelines trying to get players motivated and in the game.. but instead he just plays his role in being monotone out there. I just want more out of our 108m vet QB out there.
