Do you actually think Romo would have been had for a #1 pick? The only GM that would have done that is Jerry.

Yes, a few teams would have given us that in my opinion. Jacksonville, Buffalo, KC(Before they got Smith),Oak, etc. Now is he worth a 1st round pick? That is very debatable.

The offense has been terrible for sure and Romo is a part of it...after all he is supposed to have more input. But the playcalling and scheme drive me crazy.

People are expecting miracles from this guy. Only way they win last night was if Romo played a perfect game and the offense scored on every single possession. No other quarterback in the league has do deal with that pressure. Even the Jaguars' defense can stop someone a few times a game.

Having to have your offense be perfect to win a game will mean failure in the end no matter who your quarterback is.

That being said...Romo needs to step it up.

Oh boo hoo.....Manning doesn't deal with that pressure? Have you seen the Broncos play defense the majority of the season? Brees hasn't dealt with the problem in the past? How about Brady? No WR's this season, most years a sieve of a defense? Wouldn't it have helped the defense if the offense could sustain a FEW drives? Wouldn't it have helped if Romo leads Beasley on that short third down pass instead of throwing behind him? Wouldn't it have helped if he hits Bryant who was three yards clear of the defenders for a TD? Wouldn't it help if the guy stops trying to find his BFF on the majority of third downs?? Come on-enough of the Romo defending at all costs. Bottom line is this team hasn't won a lick with him, Witten and Ware....I understand keeping Romo around because of the contract, but a QB needs to be drafted STAT. Stop burying your head in the sand.

Romo has done a good job of polishing his own wasted career.

No other QB is asked to do as much as Romo with so little, that's on the coaching staff for their inept ability to put a quality supporting cast around him. When Romo has posted 100+QBR games our winning % is 60%, that's pathetic and it shows just how bad his surrounding pieces are. No other QB's winning % is that low, and the AVERAGE win % in that situation is 80%.

We should've just did Romo a favor and traded him to actual NFL caliber coaching staff / team, because what he has worked with over the years is just down right sad. Think Aikman / Staubach have those successful careers with a putrid defense, horrible running game, and a inept coaching staff? I don't think so, not even close.

Agreed, the play calling and scheme are horrible. With that said, I saw a very lethargic Romo out there last night. A Romo who was again throwing passes that were off and he just didn't seem to be with it. I don't think anyone pins this loss on Romo and expected a miracle from him out there.. but man, "something" would have at least softened the blow! He should be one of the leaders out there not standing for this. He should be getting fired up on the sidelines trying to get players motivated and in the game.. but instead he just plays his role in being monotone out there. I just want more out of our 108m vet QB out there.

Exactly a lot of people on here just either don't want to believe it or just have their head so far up Romos butt they can't see it. His arm strength and accuracy has been really bad all year. Even in the Denver game he had a few fluttery passes. I remember babe laughenburg in the preseason saying something was wrong with Romo and it is showing now. He knows he can't make some of the throws he used to and looks to be losing some confidence.

I have some questions about Romo's mental toughness anyway. Him losing his confidence may wind him up.

Undrafted Free Agents, practice squad castoffs, guys at the 7-11, grocery boys. Just offload the money and the contracts and start again. I am positive we can find a quality TE and a RB off the street. Draft DL, OL and Safety. Coaches? You can find some coaches better than these guys at probably most 5A Texas High Schools.

When was the last time that you can say that Dallas had a legitimate "rebuilding" season or two? I'm gonna go with 1989-1990.

It's easy to reload in college when you're a big time program...in NFL, not so much, not unless you have top notch coaching and personnel management/development (like in NE)

Romo is the first that needs to go. I'm not so sure what would happen if you just got rid of him and brought in someone to keep the seat warm until we drafted the future.
