I sure hope so, and would like to see him light it up !!! So far the guy has done nothing !!! Hope Brice can open the field up Sunday !!!

Yep...I also believe that is what Jerry was referring to when he spoke about Weeden"s ball skills. Look for some long balls to Brice. The opponent won't see it coming in the first couple weeks.

He looks like a fumble waiting to happen every time he gets near the ball, I just don't trust him

He is fluid and has good hands...Teams are going to try and double Terrance.

It's officially go time for Devin.

actually...it's time to just unleash hell on everybody..

you think he's ready for this 4th NFL catch by now? :)

the real question is - which WR gets the boot when dez comes back? i dont think it will be butler. whitehead just got here...

street could be odd man out if he doesn't catch more than what, 3 passes so far in his career?

I'd settle for him getting separation more frequently than once in a blue moon.

I think Street is going to have some good stretches while Dez is out, in the Eagles game it looked like they tried to target him early but didn't get him into the flow. The Eagles also have a good defense, I don't think its a knock on Street. I think Street will breakout this year and finish the season as a solid guy off the bench.

I think Street will have some significant contributions more so because Weeden is in there. I imagine they have some rapport because they would traditionally see more reps together since they are both 2nd team. I think we may see a lot out of Bease and Escobar as well because they can be a quick option when under pressure.

I'm not overly pleased with what I have seen from Street, my hope is with more games under his belt that he will start making improvements in his play.

I think Bease and Escobar will have to work to gain Weeden's trust over his current hot reads, the ground and the defender.

You will get a lot of Street haters with this post. People love to find somebody to hate. The same people that wanted to cut Dunbar are probably the ones that will call for Street to be cut.

Street played 46% of the snaps against the Eagles. Last season they used him a lot when they were running the ball because he is a good blocker.

He was really good in the preseason and did in fact get good separation.

The 1 fumble in the Giants game was a really good play by the defender to put his helmet right on the ball while coming in with a hard hit.

People will drastically exaggerate and exclaim that he lacks speed. While he is not a burner, I think his speed is decent.

He actually had good measurable(s) in pre-draft testing:
Devin Street
Height: 6027
Weight: 198
40 Yrd Dash: 4.50 (Pro Day)
20 Yrd Dash: 2.59
10 Yrd Dash: 1.56
Vertical Jump: 37
Broad Jump: 10'04"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.01
3-Cone Drill: 6.72 (2nd fastest of WRs currently on the team, Bulter 1.70)

His 3-cone was terrific, especially for a 6-3 player. His 10 yard time was really good and he had a nice vert.

While he does not have super deep speed, his 10 yard time was only slightly behind Butler (1.54) who runs a 4.37 forty.

Myself I don't hate Devin Street but I do expect something more from him than I have seen thus far. His combine numbers really is a non factor, bottom line are you making plays and thus far he has not. My hope is things do start clicking for him, I agree he has skills but Alexander Wright had skills and would not give you a plug nickel for him.

I don't fault Street for the int in the Giants game the defender hit him as soon as the ball got there but Street has to become a bigger factor than he has.

Street doesn't pass the eye test. Not enough speed, no strength, no tenacity for the ball, no crispness in his routes....

But I hope I'm wrong.

Over the last 2 years:

197 snaps, 10 targets and 3 catches in 18 games - Devin Street

296 snaps, 36 targets and 21 receptions in 16 games - Brice Butler

Snap count vs philly:
Street: 39plays - 2 targets - 1 rec
Butler: 25plays - 1 target - 1 pass interference call

I think the competition has just begun...

Despite Devin's nice measurables, his inability to gain separation is, nevertheless, a bit puzzling. He seems to lack explosion and is gradual in gaining speed. Perhaps his newfound opportunity to play will spike his energy but it's safe to say most of our fans won't be holding their breath for it.

Now, let's understand I'm not discrediting his chances of contributing entirely but I definitely wouldn't be inclined to mention the word "unleash" where he's concerned.

I would love it if Street became a viable option to move the sticks. Nothing fancy, just a few first downs a game could make all the difference.

Absolutely.

We don't need spectacular play from our subs..

just whatever they can do.

We have the talent.

We can't have all the penalties or the turnovers.

If the Cowboys where Asgardians :
Jerry would be Odin because he rules and he's getting old
imagejpeg

Romo would be Hemdall because you can't go anywhere without him.

imagepng

Dez would be Thor. Full of rage and always wanting to battle.
imagejpeg

And Street would one of these random asguardian troopers w no special powers or skills
