Donald's level of competition was also extremely sub par compared to everyone else on this list though. Between his size & level of conpetition I'm frightened to death of this kid being drafted.

Pitt played:

Florida State
Duke (Bowl team)
Virginia
Virginia Tech
Georgia Tech
Notre Dame
North Carolina
Syracuse
Miami

That isn't sub par competition for anyone outside of maybe the SEC.

They did play New Mexico, Old Dominion and Navy, but all teams plays a few scrub teams each season.

As for Donald:

The guy is a phenom.

I like Jernigan...just not at 16/17. A LOT of guys would have to be off of the board before I considered Jernigan at 17.

And what is Scout's Inc thinking ranking him the #7 overall player??? I'd say he's closer to being ranked the #7 DT than he he is the #7 overall prospect.

Tuitt
Nix
Hageman
Donald
Quarles
Jernigan

Agreed...if it's true I'm glad I don't subscribe.

Jernigan is a nice prospect, but not #7 nice. His college production was "o.k" but not enough to warrant a high first round pick sorry Scouts Inc.

This is true, I didn't realize this at the time, however a majority of his best stats come from the mediocre to poor teams if you look at his stats. Don't get me wrong I don't mean to bash on the guy. Just his size & collegiate level frighten me a bit. And just out of curiousity would you or anyone else for that matter have an adjusted view on Aaron if during Combine it was found out that he was 5'11" or even 5'10"? I'm concerned this may be possible because I've heard his stated 6'0" height is very generous

Yeah, 5-10 would make me re-think things, and 5-11 would to a lesser degree... but every time you see the guy he is making a great play behind the line of scrimmage. He is a fantastic player.

Arm length (more than height) will certainly play a part in how highly he gets drafted, but I love the way he plays no matter what. If he is 6-0 or taller and his arm length is ok, then I wouldn't hesitate to draft him at 16/17, but that's just me.

If we are going to continue to play this (Kiffin's 4-3) defense, then there is no single position as important on that side of the ball as the 3-tech. IMO, Donald is exactly what we need and a terrific starting point for re-building that unit.

Time will tell, but NFL teams love dominant DT's and that is what Donald is... so I truly think his stock will shoot up before the draft gets here, but I certainly could be wrong.

I honestly believe it will all come down to his height, if he hit 6' he is a 1st/2nd rounder. 5'11" or worse, 3rd/4th rounder. That's just how I think it will be played out

They do have him ranked at #7 overall. It seems wacky to me.

1 Jadeveon Clowney*
2 Jake Matthews*
3 Anthony Barr
4 Sammy Watkins*
5 Khalil Mack
6 Greg Robinson*
7 Timmy Jernigan*

Check his stats against Fl St, ND, and Miami. They are the only teams I see with pro prospects on the interior o line that I see.

I understand that you aren't crazy about Donald and his pro prospects, and for all I know you might be correct, but when ND played Pitt, Kelly, the ND head coach, said that Donald was "a one man wrecking crew" and they made their entire blocking scheme around trying to keep him from making an impact against them.

Time will tell if he will be great in the NFL too, and we won't have to wait long to see how much NFL teams like him when we get to the draft.

I don't know, maybe they think more like you and he goes in the 2nd. We will see.
