That wasn't his point either. His point isn't that the coaches made mistakes, it's that people claim the coach makes a mistake everytime something doesn't go their way. If they had converted that 3rd and 7 on that running play the same people that criticize Parcells would have called BB a genius.

His post is basically trying to slap some sense into ignorant Cowboys fans.

That's actually a pretty good improvement on my answer. It all centers on what actually constitutes a mistake. It's one of those things that we really can't tell until after the fact. Moreover there is no guarantee that another playcall would have yielded better results.

He stands there like a zombie displaying no fire or emotion. Even his clothes are boring and predictable. A loss is one thing, but this was embarassing. Bill Belichick the last four years - Super Bowl winner, Super Bowl winner, Divisional Playoff loss, AFC Championship loss

Bill Parcells - Wild Card game loss, 6-10 no playoffs, 9-7 no playoffs, Wild Card game loss

Look at Tom Brady. He threw 3 INTs and just stood there patted the ball and got sacked 4 times. Fumbled twice. Made the Patriots OL look like crap. Tom Brady single handedly cost the Patriots the game. Face it Tom Brady has never won a Super Bowl without Deion Branch. He was embarassing.

You see there is no way to draw a relation between the two coaches based on their recent accomplishments. If Belichick was god among NFL circles still and the last four years were as anemic as Bill Parcells last four then it would be a great piece.
