Interesting...I think the Titans might be giving Dobbs a chance to be the starter next week if he can perform well vs DAL. They know Malik Willis is not a good passer, and they're going to need something out of the passing game.

From a Cowboys standpoint the secondary should get a better look with Dobbs (hopefully), so the young CBs can continue to develop before the Playoffs.

We are doomed if they rotate QB’s. Quinn has no answer for such an advanced offense

They're resting a ton of players on defense too

By adding more games to the schedule the NFL is creating more games where teams are not going to be playing starters toward the end of the season. The NBA has this issue with load management.

Meanwhile, Amazon paid a lot of money (not that I feel sorry for them one bit) to show this game and a lot of people subscribed to the service to see good football games.

the number of games played has zero to do with this. It has to do with the fact the Jags and Titans have exact same record and the winner of NEXT weeks game wins the division, making this week's game meaningless. I they had 20 games it wouldnt change anything. If they played 11 games, it would change anything.

Makes sense. Can't risk the new QB1 getting injured before the biggest game of their season against Jacksonville. Tannehill is out and can't play next week. One bad hit or non-contact occurrence and Dobbs is playing against the Jags with someone off the street or inexperienced as the backup.

I wouldn't risk it either. Save Willis for next week. 10 days to get right for Jacksonville.

So they plan on sitting Willis to rest but will play him vs Jacksonville? OK, I would think Willis needs as many live snaps under his belt before playing in a do or die. The guy needs as much work as humanly possible.
