Twitter: Titans Chidobe Awuzie Released

Yall hated him when he was here, why bring him in 8 years later
He wasn't great here, but he'd be our second-best healthy corner right now. He'll get more than we'd be willing to offer, though.

Injuries would be my only concern with him. He has missed 37 games in his 8 year career and the last 3 years he has missed 20 games. However, if he comes cheap I wouldn’t mind having him for depth.

He has been a serviceable player.
He may be worth a look. But would that prevent them from drafting a CB if one there is for the taking.

Yeah,
The number of he doesn’t turn his head to locate the ball, he just bats the ball away and doesn’t make interceptions post were tiresome!

He played fine here...always was on his man...dude was in position but had the luckiest ball placement throws and/or luckiest catches made on him.

This board was constantly hating on him, even though he was on his man.

He was a victim I believe, of the secondary coach that got ran out of for teaching a technique of don't turn around and watch for the ball, stick to your man and when he raises his hands to catch the ball, put your arms in between the Wr's arms/hands to disrupt the ball and make the catch harder for the wr. The premise was, dont lose a step turning your hips and watching the qb or ball...stick on your man and watch his hands and react to the receivers hands.

On paper it makes sense, just didn't work out in Dallas.

He would be ideal as a slot CB. Is strong and played run support well. Almost like a safety.

Awuzie has always been a good cover guy, he just doesn't make all that many plays on the ball.

He's younger than Gilmore (who I have also heard rumors about a potential Dallas reunion about) so I would not be mad if he came back here.
