Titans fire Mularkey

I'm sorry ,I don' t understand what your getting at. Payton and Tomlin have both won a superbowl . quinn was in the super bowl last year.Garrett has trouble getting the cowboys in the playoffs on a consistent basis and has only one playoff win.I actually still like Garrett but my patience is starting to wear thin.
That's fair to some extent but Garrett was Coach of the Year last year and won 9 games this year.
Dallas wasnt exactly a bottom dweller and they went 5-1 in the NFCE.
The talent is coming along but it's hardly perfect and much of it is very young.
People who thought 9-7 was a very poor showing are being unreasonable.

Garrett's body of work hasn't been good enough. Or close. But his previous 2 seasons have been better than any Cowboys fan had a right to expect given a new QB and defense re-build on the fly.

I can't believe they fired him lol guy took them to the playoffs and won a game when they were down 21-3 at halftime lol

The underlying motive is still the important part here. Titans see an opportunity to get better and will try to seize upon it.

Jerry lacks that vision.

Let's wait until we see who they hire before determining whether it was a good move.

All I said is Tennessee, if they really are making a run at McDaniels sees a chance to improve what they have. It's actually damning for Jones that even a boob organization like Tennessee can see this but Jerry can't.

Can you not comprehend what you posted? The Tennessee Titans are a horrible comparison in how to hire a HC. You better flip on your bat signal and get @stasheroo over here pronto, to help you out.

He's basically calling people who criticize Garrett idiots because they'd probably want guys like Tomlin or Payton fired because they haven't delivered big time results in the last few years.

He's essentially saying that people who criticize Garrett are impulsive, emotional and aren't being rational when they claim it's time to move on from Garrett.

Average Joes
WOW! Lead that bunch of average joes to the playoffs and get fired for it? Guess the organization realizes how easy the AFC is to actually qualify in and just how far behind their division rival Jags the Titans may be...

Average Joes? Franchise type QB. Top level run game. Good OL. Very good TE. Decent defense. That is a pretty good roster and a pretty good job opening.

Actually you can't comprehend what was written, which seems to be an issue for you.

Why are the Titans moving on from Mularky and quickly trying to get McDaniels? Because they see a chance to get a better coach. Doesn't mean they are the ideal smart franchise. Just means they think they can upgrade on what they have where they won't give up whatever Mularky wants.

Oy vey.

No, your point was silly.
no, the point that firing Mularkey is some great sign of not tolerating mediocrity is what’s silly.

He improved the team’s performance every season he was there.

And yet they weren't good enough. They feel McDaniels is a better coach for them. It may work out. It may end in a firey crash.

But they are taking that chance. We, on the otherhand, are basically hoping against hope that Garrett bucks the clear trends that would indicate, he's probably never going to really accomplish much in Dallas.

If the Titans ownership thinks they should have gone into New England and beaten them, then they overestimated where they are in their rebuild.

There's more to it than that. Maybe they don't think they are far enough along in developing Mariota (which would be a reason to bring in a guy like McDaniels). I doubt they truly expected to beat NE in NE. But they very easily could believe they should be further along than they are at this point.

Then throw in the fact Mularky apparently wanted a big raise and more control, it's easy to see why they may want to reassess what's going on at the head coaching position.

Good firing, don't let one playoff win cloud your judgment for the future. Mularkey is an old school coach like Garrett, I don't think he was the best HC to pair with Mariota

It is difficult for most in the know football guys to name more than 6-10 Titans let alone their starting lineup. That's why I said it...I know they have a solid group and one of the best OLs in the League. I like the power running game as well.

Used the term because they don't have a bunch of household names Fla Cowpoke.
