Our strength the first half of the season was our defense. We weren’t generating a lot of offense and points and were winning games by bending but not breaking with our defense and our kicker. It’s pretty disheartening how much our defense has fallen off as the season has gone on. Our pass rush was as fierce as I’ve ever seen with the Cowboys and it’s totally vanished. You’re correct our defense is hanging on by forcing turnovers. That’s about the only way we can stop anyone.
Teams have figured Quinn’s scheme out. The defense only has three elite talents in DLaw, Parsons and Diggs. The rest of the guys are average JAGS. Follow the money the Joneses have invested no money in the defense.

They tweaked the defense to shut down the run...Quinn still searching for the defense that can shut down the run and also bring elite pressure on passing downs

Tweaking the defense to defend the run has completely killed our pass rush. We had become sack happy earlier in the season which hurt us against the run but our lack of a pass rush is causing us to get shredded. We’ve given up around 650 passing yards the past two games and 5 TD passes. Parsons being neutralized has also had a negative affect on our pass rush. We’ve been sackless in two of our last three games. It’s pretty bad when you can’t even get one sack on a backup QB.

Dak and the offense should head to Cabo until the playoffs start. Come back refreshed ;)

Quinn has been coaching his scheme for a long time. You mean to tell me that the code to his defense just got cracked the last few weeks?

However, we’ve been battle tested lately by some teams that won’t be in the playoffs and just got shredded by a backup QB who only had four snaps this season entering Saturday’s game. Would like to see our run defense get tested by Derrick Henry. Our entire defense is a major concern.

True, we have lost quite a few starters on defense that helped make this defense very good. Without them were somewhere in the early teens. They still have enough play makers to overcome a lot of deficiencies.

Usually the Cowboys always seem to get a hot team in the 1st rd of the playoffs. SF last year. GB twice. They never get a favorable match up. Imo they will this time vs a bad bucs team or perhaps one if the other teams in that division.

I'm just grateful we no longer have Jason Garrett as HC.

Short week with a tired roster. Makes sense.

I started on thread on this Christmas morning and most thought I was foolish to suggest the Titans might sit out some guys who are beat up

I believe we beat Tennessee regardless of whether or not they play starters they are playing bad of course we have a habit of making average qbs look good

Willis is a mobile qb and we couldn’t get to minshew so that’s a a bit of a concern but we should win
The commanders game concerns me more as they are a very physical team up from and chase young is back

It all depends upon Derrick Henry. If our run defense stinks on ice like usual he could have a huge day.

This game is a must win Tennessee they will be going all out. Both teams are 7-8. A titans loss couples with jags win give the jags the division this week
