They tweaked the defense to shut down the run...Quinn still searching for the defense that can shut down the run and also bring elite pressure on passing downs
I think you may be right, but we may be missing a player or two to make that happen.

I honestly would like to see Tennessee play all their starters. I want us to be battle tested for the playoffs. Playing against backups isn’t going to do us any good we found that out last season in the season finale against Philly’s backups. I would really like to see if we could handle Derrick Henry.

Why? The team has shown more than enough they can make a deep run. They need to rest players as soon as they can.

Your wrong. If they lose and jags win this week. Jags are division champs.
This is incorrect.

No matter what happens this week, the winner of the Titans/Jags game week 18 wins the division.

This week is no more important than the last preseason game for both the Jags and Titans

It makes no sense for the Titans to play their starters on a short week/meaningless game especially Henry! And I hope Dallas counters by doing the same.

The Cowboys played their starters against the Eagles backups last year and won big...and it didn't matter once the playoffs started when those same starters struggled for 3 quarters against the 49ers.

With a 17 game schedule now, a team would be foolish to not use one of these final games as a bye week to rest players when it's possible.

The Cowboys won't rest our starters just because their still is a chance at the division. Now if the Cowboys win against the Titans and the Eagles beat the Saints. Then that could mean the Cowboys will decide to rest starters against the Commanders since the division will be out of reach.

If they both finish 8-9 and they will have the same division record. Jags have the next tie breaker which is conference record.

I don’t know what team you’re watching but we’re staring at another one and done and I’ll tell you why. The only way the defense can get anyone off the field and keep opponents from scoring is to get turnovers. We’ve been giving up around 35 points per game the last three games. It took four turnovers to squeak out a six point win on Saturday. Philly’s backup QB shredded us for 355 yards and drove them to the Cowboys 19 yard line and we barely held them off. Our defense was exhausted! Jalen Hurts probably would’ve scrambled in for a TD from the 19 yard line. The Cowboys couldn’t sack Minshew once the entire game. The Cowboys haven’t won a road playoff game since the 92 season. They’re 0-8 in road playoff games since. No way are they going to get far with this defense, especially if they have to face Tom Brady in the first round. Don’t know how you haven’t noticed, but our pass rush has vanished! It took Dak’s best game of the season to pull out the win on Saturday. I liked our chances of advancing in the playoffs last year better than I do now. Our defense was playing better last year at this time than it is now.

This team really is battle tested this year imo
The biggest bright spot other than Daks performance is the run d. That might be our best performance if the year. It’s possible sanders is t thst good abd benefits from hurts drawing attention the way Tebow opened up the run game fir the broncos.

Injuries are obviously a big issue on defense. Scheme isn’t going to fix your best defensive player being 85% or your starting MLB being 80%. You’re going to need these guys to make a run. Playing them all the way through is very short sighted.
