Romo was the only reason we were in that game late. It wasn’t his fault we lost and it was insane to have your starting qb as the holder. I believe the Wade Phillips 13-3 team that Parcells built was our best chance at playing in the nfc championship game in the past 29 seasons. That team had a Super Bowl roster on both sides of the ball and then we lost to the Giants in the WC round.

It was a good team , but JG was OC and asst HC, and wade was too mousy, and only knew defense, not a good leader.
If bill hadnt been so old, and had stayed 1 more year, maybe they go to the SB, but even if they did, they would have played
a good NE team, and I doubt they would have beat them.

Romo was unfortunately stuck with Jason Garrett. The talent around Romo was not the problem, the talent was actually excellent. Having Garrett and Rob Ryan and then Monte Kiffin in control of your offense and defense, thats was the problem. One of the most talented teams the cowboys had Was in 2011, and they didn't even make the playoffs.#criminal That team was lLOADED... and that was before Laurent Robinson was dropped into our laps!
