The Eagles have a great secondary and landed two star CBs in the draft. They gave up less than 50 yards passing in two of their last 3 games. You're tripping. Their rookie CB looks like he's gonna be all pro and has been shutting down EVERYONE.
Eagles were lucky the young dB's just fell into their laps. First and 2nd round. I was watching that draft, and figure something had to be wrong for Cooper, and Quinyon Mitchell. They turned that secondary around quick. Also they didn't have coordinators last year that would start for any other NFL team. They just sucked, and now they have a legendary D coordinator. They have been playing well over the last several games.

I honestly think Jerry is tanking this year so he can make a run next year. We did nothing to improve the team in the preseason.

A Dan Quinn coached defense still showing it can't show up against any offense with a pulse.
Did pretty well vs in 2 playoff games vs SF and also held the Chiefs to 19 pts.
Any idea where the offense was those days?

Did Quinn mismanage the last few minutes of the game. The Commanders were down two TDs and 2 two point conversions with over 3 minutes left in the game and they had the ball. They have time outs but chose to run the football a few times on their last TD drive without using their time outs. They ran precious time off the clock when they needed to score quickly and get the ball back. There didn't appear to be any urgency until they got inside the Eagles 30 yard line. It was a long shot but it seemed to me they should have been throwing the ball downfield more hoping for a quick score and leaving time on the clock if they got the ball back. Even if they recovered the onside kick they had less than 30 seconds to score another TD.

They weren’t able to throw the ball downfield the entire game and you expect them to be successful at it when the defense knows it’s their only realistic chance? The Commanders went with what was working reasonably well. It wasn’t enough.

I didn't watch the game and frankly I don't care one of them had to lose I was hoping for a bunch of injuries and a tie so I'm not reading any of this the Philly won but who cares what's happening you remember last year when they were 10 and one you remember when a lot of teams you started out hot faltered and a lot of teams started out slow like Green Bay came on wrong at the end of the year i'm rea....year before we see who sorts what out.

Got too many damn problems in our own house to worry about anything else around the NFL..

You mean his defenses that can't stop the running game that saquon Barkley ran the freak over him that looks awfully familiar you say mismanagement and I say this is Dan Quinn it will come back to roost eventually you will watch Dan Quinn as a head coach and a defensive coordinator eventually it catches up and teams realize how to beat it and they beat up on bad teams and get beat by the better teams that is who Dan Quinn is I mean I respect what he's done with a young team but don't expect somehow Washington is all of a sudden because of how they started this mirage of a year yes very solid better than expectations that somehow they're on a roll of becoming a stronghold this division it's not true I've seen it I've seen this story before and like I said last year it was Philly all the hype they started out so hot and then they fell off this is about how you finish not how you start so we'll see how the NFC East fares against the better teams late in the year and yeah and then we could talk all this other stuff is just stuff not interested at all but I thought I'd chime in and remember that Dan Quinn just got ran over again by a running back they got absolutely blasted in that second-half couldn't stop the run again that limits your offense's ability to get the ball back and have more opportunities to score it's called time of possession it's a big part of football both sides of the ball need to try to win time of possession..

Cowboys are the bum franchise right now.

At least the commanders got rid of their garbage owner.

Cowboys are stuck with theirs.
the skins havnt won a playoffs game in 20 years, ahvnt had a deep run in 30 years, cowboys are ahead of the skins.

Absolutely! Got lucky with Jalen Carter too. I can't believe Detroit passed on pairing him up with Hutchinson for a RB??

Here's the problem with your argument about Philly's secondary. No team has ever completed 12+ passes and had less then 50 yards in the history of the NFL. Philly has done it twice in a month. Quinyon is shutting down elite receivers. Did you see what he did to Terry McLauren Thursday. Did you see what he did to Cee Dee and Jamar Chase? I bet he's gonna be 1st team all pro as a rookie and DeJean is a prime time player too. Philly has had a bad secondary for a long time but they might have the best secondary in the entire NFL and you're claiming they suck?

I agree. I am still shocked DeJean fell all the way to the 2nd round right to them. I thought he would have been the first pick in the 2nd round after he slid out of the first. That kid is talented, and is only going to get better.

Grille my butt, but I respect the Eagles.

EVERYONE knew their (eagles) weakness last year was the secondary. If you dig into it, also the defensive (along with offensive) coordinator.

What did they (eagles) do, they let their coordinators go and hired new people. They (the organization) also drafted two secondary positions in their first two draft picks which was pretty much unheard of).

They (the eagles) knew where their weakness was and they were proactive and addressed ALL issues on their defense.

Look at the defense ratings from last year and look at this year. It's apparent, at least on paper and stats, the eagles addressed what their weakness was (as well as adding SB as running back on top of it!), and when you look at the cowboys, you're left scratching your head on where their defense went to.

Being a cowboys fan, and when Jerry says he's "all in" (per words only), and his actions do absolutely nothing, it tells me exactly how proactive he wants to be and what kind of changes he actually wants to make.

This is why is makes it harder and harder being a cowboys fan.

That said, I was on vacation last week, and I did see some media on the Tyson Paul fight. Not only did they have it at Jerry's stadium, they also had the Cowboys cheerleaders there putting on a show. Helps put money in Jerry's pocket, and as a fan, to me, it's the only thing he cares about. Give his family another decade, and unless they decide to actually want to win, he's going to hurt his "NFL brand" more and more to the point he will become like the Browns or Giants.

What philthy did makes sense. What Jerry does makes no sense.

Dejean didn't fall to the eagles, they traded up to get him
