People are so busy looking at the coaches, the problem with many of these teams is actually the GM or the owner or both. People will watch multiple coaches come and go & say 'I thought that guy was supposed to fix the team' and not notice the same GM sitting there the whole time, running the drafts, the FA signings, etc.

He was hired because of his repoire with Jameis and the perception that Lovie tanked the second half of TB's season last year after a strong start. Half the team was shocked, but Jameis rallied the team behind the new hire.

He's been in the league for a while and supposedly has a strong bond with young Jameis.
