I think the story is going to be that Houston is in a lot of trouble. Usually when you see a good team lose to an inferior team its because the good team made a lot of dumb mistakes. However in this case the Jets made all the really dumb mistakes. The aforementioned drop of the ball, TWO personal foul penalties on 4th and 20+, and multiple other just bad penalties. The fact that Houston lost despite that is VERY concerning.

Not really. That you want Houston to be in trouble does not make it so. Teams have games like this and still end up in the playoffs and even win it all

Their number 2 WR is not coming back though. If they are going to win they are going to have to do it without him.

They still have time before the trade deadline to get a WR at least for the rest of the season

Unlike the Cowboys, that team signs free agents that aren't over the hill or cheap

I have no particular dog in the fight beyond arguing on behalf of reality. I neither want Houston to be bad nor good so that narrative is simply nonsense.

Houston has had about 5-6 games like this so far this year. Its just they were able to sneak wins, in the same way the Eagles did last year. However with Diggs now out for the year it doesn't seem like they have the horses right now to do that.

The Jets are great. They haven't been to the playoffs in 13 years. They haven't won a Super Bowl since Woodstock.
