TNF: Vikings at Rams

They missed it because a player was in between the ref and Darnold, blocking his line of sight.

I don't mind missed calls when they have nothing to do with the success of the play. Like if they miss a hold on the right TE on a sweep left. Same with this. Dude was sacked, game over.
with instant replay and people with phones and everything else, every badly screwed up official call/non call just makes people more cynical about officiating and the honesty of the game
They supposedly have someone watching every game at NFL HQ. Have him call the head official and say
ALL RIGHT YOU MISSED THIS ONE: FIX IT.

I left Stafford on the bench as well.

Should have known, 4 tds and like 280 yards.

That's my season, guy does poorly 4 weeks in a row so I sit him down and he explodes the next game.

Getting back his top 2 WRs and a lineman certainly changed things.
He's been playing with USFL guys...lol

Anyway, bad fantasy luck. I've been there many times!

That's not how it works. They don't use replay to find penalties. And I hope they never do.

I can see your point but mine was when terrible missed calls like that is so obvious to the public and the NFL does nothing, it ain't good

They use it to find too many players on the field, which is a penalty. That isn't really any different than someone lining up or jumping offsides, but replay isn't used for those and many other subjective things. Calls will always be missed, even with the aide of replay, but why they place limitations on its use will always be a mystery to me. Get egregiously bad calls corrected whenever you can is my philosophy.

I agree. It should have been called. I would have no problem with the call. My contention is that the foul had nothing to do with the result of the play. I have no problem with the missed call.

Don't we all hate calls that have nothing to do with the play? This was one of them. Darnold was getting sacked. IMO they lost. Why worry about not giving them a break? What I hate are calls that are bogus. That's what truly has an impact on the game. A penalty that never should have been called changing the outcome of the game.

The result of the play was a safety and that facemask was very much a reason the play ended in that result. I understand your general view, but on this particular play I disagree.

And Vikings at 6-2….who beat the Pack in GB
They got upset today on the road, but theyre in that group.
not so sure about Washington, btw
Vikings now have a problem at Left tackle.
