If they have 18 draftable players that they have ranked as r1 talent, then yes, trading down to 31 would be out of the question, as they will 100% for sure get one of those guys.

The number 18 does sound about right....though I can't imagine that Broaddus would have the exact number right.

The only scenario where they could trade down (and not very far) would be if several of those 18 were still onthe board when pick 18 comes up.

Thank you. Trading down is for draft wizards. If Jerry is scratching his head at 18 I would honestly rather see him reach into his pocket and use Mel Kiper's guide than whatever it is he THINKS he's doing.

Vikes are in pretty good shape where they're at to get their MLB and to get a falling DE to help out Jared Allen. And there will be 2nd round WRs available that can help them. I don't think they move up unless Tavon Austin slips for some reason, and even then, they'd have to move up past us at 18.
