I live outside of Philly and had the radio dial on WIP on the way to work. They were broadcasting live from training camp.Woody'sGirl said:The saying in sports is that you're only as good as your last game. Terrell Owens' last game was pretty darn good -- nine catches for 122 yards in the Super Bowl. But that didn't stop Philadelphia fans from booing Owens when he trotted onto the field Wednesday for the first practice of training camp. Philly fans didn't like that he threatened to hold out this summer after playing just one year of his seven-year contract. But the boos didn't last long. By the start of practice a packed grandstand was cheering Owens every time he touched the ball.
When he came out for the first time, the cheers clearly drowned out the boo's. By the time he took the field to play, there were T.O. chants galore. Clearly the fans aren't holding a grudge against him.
By the way, there were 30,000 fans there for the first day of camp. Yikes!!
