Well like I said-it came from posters who attend their camps regularly(and are highly regarded by this board). I don't remember their names, but what they reported was supposedly promising.

Hardknocks, letting players be celebrities, his belief that there is no such thing as bad publicity, his meddling and undermining of the coach thats starting to come out. Its a full fleged circus at Valley Ranch, and I resent him for that.

So the reason we are playing bad is hardknocks? Fact is this team is always under the microscope because they are the most popular team in the world. Anytime anything happens good or bad the media is always there. Case in point how many Bengal players have been arrested in the past 5 years like 36 or so? Why are they not the lead story on sportscenter every night? You know if it was Dallas we would be. Just like when T.O. was yelling at andre about the bad snap. If that had been Marvin Harrison it would have been what a great leader he is by getting in someones face. But since it's T.O. it is oh he has divided the locker room. Bottom line is we have to live with the publicity because it isn't going anywhere ever.

I am a tad curious as to just what business it is that you own and run where you just sit back and let it be mediocre while you act like an "owner" and stay away and golf. Or am I just hearing a lot of opinions coming out of backsides right now?

Not one owner has done what you recommend. They have fired coaches mid season, made trade moves, made draft moves. Not one owner of any business sits his butt down while the company unravels.

I'm no fan of Jerry...however, I find it laughable how all these Parcells-apologists come here and use Parcells as a defense when it comes to Jerry-bashing.

Other than the early nineties ( the early nineties are long gone) our GM was clueless. Parcells comes here we get way better. One season post Parcells we do great. Two years post Parcells we are swirling in the porcelain struggling not to go through the hole in the bottom of it.

I'm not saying a thing, one way or another, on how someone runs their team. It's not my money that was put into it. You can all say "Oh he shouldn't do this, he should just sit there and do this" when your a Monday Morning QB sitting at your computer desk and it wasn't your money put into the investment. You have no idea, at all, how you'd go about the business of running the Cowboys if you were the owner and it was your investment and to say otherwise would be laughable.

I'm not stalking you. It just so happens you're saying a lot of dumb things in a lot of threads. As someone else noted tell me what owner in the league sits in the owners box and does nothing as you suggested. Are you suggesting that possibly Jerry should be like the owner of the Bengals, Lions, or 49ers? Those owners seem to be doing a WONDERFUL job of just sitting in the press box and doing nothing else. Those look like wonderful situations to be in.

Are you claiming that owners like Bob Kraft simply sit in the press box and smile and that's how they win?

And the numerous amounts of injuries don't have anything to do with this? So if BP were here, or Jerry wasn't the GM here, then the injuries to Newman, Romo, Felix, Watkins, Kyle, Williams, Anthony Spencer, and the suspension of Adam Jones wouldn't have any effect on this team being 4-3? If he wasn't GM and we had someone else like Jimmy or BP at the GM role then we'd be 5-1 even with all the injuries cause 'By GAWD Jerry isn't the GM so now we'll win anyway!".

Please. Jerry isn't perfect, no owner is, Wade isn't perfect, no coach is (and I'm not saying there aren't coaches I wouldn't rather have cause there are), but to act like injuries aren't a huge factor in this would be silly, at best.

Another thing too. Sometimes it could be a bad thing if the owner doesnt meddle. Imagine if we had a GM that sucked, or could never find the right one?

I used to think Jimma would make a good GM for us, but the way he treats players I have second thoughts about it.

And I'll take any sort of leadership we can get w/ this team. It's apparent the SHOULD BE leader (our coach) isn't one.

Jerry hired Wade. What does that say? I liken his ownership of the Cowboys in the same manner a rich guy owns a plane. Sure, he owns the plane, but he sure as hell doesn't fly it (well, there are rare cases - but you get the jist of what I'm sayin'). That is why he hires a good pilot. Frankly, Wade ain't no pilot. More like a good mechanic's assistant.

Oh please...you and other Parcells-homers say how injuries derailed our '04 and '05 seasons. Now you're saying injuries are no excuse?

And what makes you think it was PARCELLS who "built" this OL? When, in fact, core elements like Flo and Gurode were already there? What's next? Are you going to say how Parcells maximized Flo's and Gurode's talents alot more than our previous coaches? And what is this about Parcells discovering Corey Proctor?
