I'm aware of everything McFadden brings to the table but Barber does everything well, he's a monster blocker, a ferocious runner, a capable receiver, his instincts are as good as anyone out there and he plays hard on every down. How many RB's out there splitting time are having the kind of season this guy is having? Maybe Fred Taylor and he's only got 2 TD's to Barber's 10.

Jerry, don't sell our draft for one guy, we've seen how it worked out for the Giants and Eli. It's one thing to be the Vikings and have a guy like Peterson fall into your lap, and something completely different to pull a Saints or Giants and give up your future for a guy at a disposable position.

I say we spend those picks on a CB and WR and draft a backup RB in the 2nd or even 3rd round.

We've already got our back of the future on the roster.

I dont think we should throw away our draft on anyone, no blockbuster move (galloway :bang2:) Barber is great but it would be nice to have a good 2nd back so i think we still go rb somewhere in the draft. Marcus Spears makes me want to throw up all over. he blow.s.

Felix Jones should be our primary target.

Also scout Jonathan Stewart and Ray Rice.

I think we need defensive and offensive linemen. That's our weakspot right now.

Felix looks a lot like the old JJ and we need another CB and a youg WR, so no to the McFadden trade.:star:

You're kidding, right? One good performance by a Detroit team that was supposed to be better than they've shown, and you disrespect our Dline?

Detroit may have played over their heads but they've given up the most sacks in the NFL and we didn't get pressure on them till the last play of the game when it didn't really matter.

And what exactly is wrong with our O-Line again? We've already got two young guys as well. Not sure I see how that is our weakest link.

It's probably our weakest link on offense. We have a great RB in Barber. We have some good WRs, great TE. Great QB. OL is just good. We could use more depth there and maybe one more starter. I kinda would like to see a different center now. Gurode hasn't done much the last few games.

I think our O-Line is great, especially in pass blocking. I don't think our WR's are anything to write home about outside of T.O., and Crayton is just solid.

Yeah I'm also happy with the O-line. It did look like Colombo was struggling, so maybe he should sit out a game or two to get healthy for the playoffs.

I never liked trading up for Mcfadden... We need young WR's and CB's... But shut down corners... But yet agian the selections available are a bit hard to pick from... Lets just hope we dont pick a bust! > : 0

What a comment, do you even know what spears responsibilities are in this defense please enlighten me on which 3-4 DEs are playing head and shoulders above the spears. The guy is solid against the run, and only plays 1st and 2nd down because WP knows he isn't D-Ware but what 3-4 DE is. Yeah his pass rush is average but he doesn't play obvious passing downs.

Wade has emphasized no WR in the first round.

DB and RB maybe?

We should just go DB then DB.

We also need the ilb to do better in coverage they look lost when we play zone. Maybe B. James is just a few frenchise short of being able to run a soft zone

I agree with everything apart from Barbers blocking. Don't bet the farm on one back, look what with Bush. Pad the roster with talent for the future. The Fins will pick up DMAC anyway, the aren't going to be winning soon, so why not get a highlight player to pick up TV time.

gurode is not going anywhere, the only upgrades would be at T.

they just gotta resign flozell, and let one of the Ts step up or resign colombo. they really only need wr.

i think with ratliff and canty at DE and with ferguson back, they just need a secondary. although i really hope they get a stud dlinemen that takes a double team. maybe carpenter steps it up next year at ilb for the blitz. or they draft a nickel lb to replace burnett
