sorry, this isnt a thread bashing him coming here, just my observation after a cone of some fine Morrocan Black....

I saw a Chunky Soup commercial while watching the highlites of SB XXVII and I noticed, it was Donovan, LJ Smith and Greg Lewis. Now besides McNabb, and maybe LJ, no one REALLY knows the other 2. Owens was *****ing about money...you dont think if he had played nice in Philly he would be getting all this commercial money, etc?

Just an observation, and money TO surely missed out on, since he needs to "feed" his family. Millions and a lifetime supply of Chunky Soup....that could do your feeding Terrell

What was your first clue?

Too bad he doesn't pimp Chunky Soup.....maybe the curse would end the endless TO to Dallas threads :D

and yes he's dumb as a box of rocks

What you mean? Did I know he was a moron before this, sure. Im just saying, it's kind of funny how he doesn't look at the bigger picture.

His antics dont really have him in high demand for commercials. If he had just been quiet and played, he would no doubt be in all those commercials with Donovan. He's just as recognizable, probably more so than DMac, so why not.

I just see it as quite amusing, because his salary wasnt that bad to begin with, and there was alot of money to be made in endorsments for him..but he kind of soured his image.

Kobe may have been accused of rape, but he beat the rap, and he's sort of fixed his image, so I guess TO does have a chance.

My guess is TO would have cost too much for the commercial anyway. I am sure greg lewis and LJ do it for MUCH less than mcnabb does.

I'd love to know how much $$ in commercial product endorsements TO has talked himself out of. Rosenhause should have fitted him with a muzzle.

Thats my point.

I just meant that it was kind of funny seeing two relatively un-known players in a position where a guy like TO surely would have fit in quite well.

BTW, this wasnt a thread bashing TO as a player, or saying weather or not he is coming here this year. My name aint Wolverine, and I dont spend each waking minute trying to find another reason as to why/how TO will be here next year

I wonder what you get for endorsing Soup? I can't imagine Don is getting huge bucks for that. He's doing it more so his mama can get paid I bet.

Im sure its gotta be a couple Million. Especially with royalties, id assume he has something in his contract where he makes a % each time the commercial is aired, you see em alot.

You think Donovan needs to get his Mama money? The guy's got plenty...but you do have a valid point. This way he isn't "giving" her the money. Some people have alot of pride and dont like hand outs.

Honestly, besides him playing for the Eagles, I've always liked Donovan. At least as a person, not as the guy who tore our team up for a few seasons. Good character, regardless of who he suits up for.

Who's going to muzzle Rosenhaus? :laugh1:

Jorden always made more money on endorsements than he did in salary.

Same with Tiger Woods. What he makes on the PGA tour pales to what he makes on endorsements

that's true -- he sucks to play against -- but you have to respect his talent and him as a person.

Tiger and Jordan were international celebs. They can (or could in Jordan's case) ads all over the world. The serious endorsement money is in Europe and Japan. Especially Japan.

Nobody outside the U.S. knows McNabb. He isn't in the same league as those guys endorsement-wise.

What about Sharpie?

TO is dumb cause he still has Rosenhaus (sp) as his agent and how many NFL teams want to deal with him.

BTW: That Chunky soup commercial starring McNabb & friends and supposedly his mother. Hate to break it to you but that is NOT repeat NOT McNabb's mother. An actress is playing that role of McNabb's mother. Geez.
