I originally registered today to say thanks for the praise and class that is being shown on the Cowboys website today honoring Sean. So, I say thank you. When it comes down to it, we are all fans of the NFL. Days like this we can put aside hatred for the other team.

Then there are those like Canadian Cowboys Fan who have no clue and no class. Today, there is no Cowboys or Commanders. We are human beings, unlike yourself, Canadian Cowboys Fan. The NFL would do the same for any player and ALL teams would recognize with a moment of silent or their number on a helmet. I expected to see in your profile that you were a young kid, but to see we are the same age absolutely blew my mind to think there are people who think like you. You are a disgrace to this site.

If that is what you feel then yes they should honor those other players when it is time to honor those players, if the league or anyone else don't then blame it on so, but to play this you got more I got less wah wah stuff is obviously childish.

The guy is a decent guy and football player who died horrendously and is widely known throughout league, and yes he deserves recognition and he will get it fittingly so. Get over yourself and stop using lame excuses for you closemindedness and idiocracy.

If you want to see everything equal 100%, goto disneyland. If you want to see good hearted people trying to do the right thing with good intentions and a good heart, then a devotion is the absolute LEAST we can do!

I dont understand why you are attacking him here? Seems off.

He did not say anything negative about sean taylor, he is just bringing up some other guys that have past away within the last year or a little more.

I don't think it is within our right to really honor ST at a cowboys game. I am all for a moment of silence before the game to pay respect for the man. I would hate to see teams trying to one up the Skins in this regard. I say every team should take a moment to remember and pay honor to the man before the game, with maybe even a 21 gun salute, but the big tribute should be left to the skins and their fans.

Damn bro, You have no heart...Its a tragedy for the whole football world. Those other players weren't the caliber of ST...Just like its a difference between Elvis dyeing and uh.....Tupac

That's ridiculous! It makes no difference how good of a player he was, he was part of the NFL family. Sure his death will get more media attention because he was a star talent, but that doesn't make his life worth anymore (or less) than that of Stringer or Williams.

AND BTW, you shouldn't talk down on Tupac! He was an inspiration to many of us, and we are still saddened by his death!

Hopefully him and Sean are up in heaven burning a blunt (if they allow such things up there)..................

Its a terrible thing what happened. But we need to take a step back and look at the big picture...this kind of stuff happens all the time...stuff even worse than this happens every day. I feel bad for his family and everything but lets focus more on stoping needles violence that effects ALL people than the man Sean Taylor. I don't think its necessary to do anything more than a moment of silence at the begining of the game...its kind of sad that the only reason this get attention is becuase he played in the NFL when every week kids are shot in drive bys and other such incidents...I guess my rambling does not have much of a point other than I know its terrible what happened to Taylor and my prayers are with his family but all the sappy, corny, over the top symbolism and acts of honor kind of bother me because when other people who are just as human and have lived better lives or are more innocent get killed no one says boo.

I was pondering this myself earlier today, and I think I know the reason.

First of all, he was a public figure. As NFL fans we'd all seen him play, we all made at least a small connection with Sean Taylor. Therefore it affects us more.

Taylor's life is no more valuable than the young man who was shot and killed Saturday, while he was working as a doorman outside a Dallas high-rise, on his first day no less. (he was also 24, left 4 kids behind)

The difference is, the doorman was a complete stranger to all of us, that is until his untimely death made the news. Meanwhile, every NFL fan knew of Sean Taylor before his death, and many had already made some kind an emotional investment in him, even if that investment meant rooting against him.

However, I personally try to say a little prayer whenever I hear of people who have died before their time, no matter who they were.
