TO Rumors

Did you learn nothing from his stints with Philly and San Francisco? If you dont learn from your mistakes, you are doomed to repeat them...

TO is an ***, to be sure.

But please tell me about this player when he suits up and is on the field.

Is there a wide receiver in this league who is as dangerous, physical, and works as hard?

In all the hub bub about TO this season, the one fact that seems to slip through the cracks is the comments by the coaching staff.

He was always prepared in meetings and knew his assignments and everyone else's assignments, as well.

My opinion is his stock is such that he has to mend some fences in this league before he can get the final big payday.

When deion Sanders came to the Cowboys, people suggested he brought the Super Bowl with him. I disagree, but perception counts for alot.

I believe Jerry Jones could sell the idea that iof T.O. were to join Dallas, and we made the Championship game, he would be viewed as the reason why.

The carrot, and the pay off.

And I don't believe there are many, even in the ranks of the most anti-T.O. that would suggest a focused and motivated T.O. wouldn't make this offense much much better.

Provided the offensive line problems were solved.

I dont care who the player is or what his attitude is like if he can help this team win a SB than I say bring him in.
Philly was a hell of alot better team before TO than we are now and look what he did to them.

If TO gave a .... about a ring he'd be playing for Philly instead of hosting parties.

TO only cares about TO and how much money TO is going to get paid.

Exactly.

And to get to this motherlode, he must do something to change the perception of him.

His goals may not be structured where the Super Bowl is high priority.

But the idea that he was instrumental in helping a team get there would count a long way in getting him the payday he wants.

That is the selling point.

will it work?

I have no idea.

But I sure like the idea of a player with the ability to score, and the football reputation which would cause Terry Glenn to find single coverage more often.

If he didn't care about the money he'd still be playing for Philly.

Unless we haven't been able to handle a Bright Shining Star in the past, how is this our mistake to remake? It isn't. It's TO's to not remake. And as you can see, more and more, each day, are becoming more open to giving TO that chance here in Dallas.

So TO has yet to remake the mistake. Dallas has no mistake to remake. The only mistake I see being made is by some getting overly angry and defensive about a scenerio that still has little likelyhood to ever happen, and not willing to give someone another chance even if he's willing to earn it.

In the spirit of a NEW YEAR I say....Bring TO In!

It's everyone's mistake to remake....

SF and Philly realized this and got rid of him.

He will never sign the contract he wants at this time. He will not get the money he desires because of this break with the eagles.

His alternatives are simple.

Take less, perform and then get the pay day.

Go to canada.

That is my point. He has a motivating factor. Money.

He won't score that unless he changes minds on him.

TO's not going to get as much as he would have gotten in Philly. No way, no how, he screwed himself.
btw: he didn't play in either playoff game that got Philly to the Super Bowl and they made it to the NFC Championship 3 years in a row without him. Great game in the Super Bowl and no questioning his toughness but what exactly did he do to help them get there?

As with all things, the first game winning touchdown catch he makes will change the minds of many.

They all play for the money. Or why else would they suffer the pain?

And has stated that if he had known he wouldn't get a new contract he wouldn't have played in the SB.

How can KJ be in Vegas the nite before a game? How far is Vegas from Dallas?

about 3.5 hours in a plane.

That is so true in Philly. They welcomed him with open arms and a year later wanted to show him the door.
