Jerry thinks he is worth that deal. That's what matters when it comes to that contract. I don't get a say in it and neither do any of you, unless you're in the inner circles of the Cowboys organisation. Simple as that. If Jerry didn't think Dak was worth his contract, he wouldn't grant that contract.

Every NFL contract is a risk to some degree, and this one is no exception. As fans we just have to hope that Jones' calculated risk on this contract will be worth it to the team in the long run. The other thing he could have done would be to have let him walk and then try to draft a QB while signing a stop-gap veteran like Andy Dalton. That obviously also would have carried risks, and big ones at that. Jones chose to bet on paying Dak what he wanted. He will be criticized by some fans for that. However, if he had gone with the other option mentioned, he certainly would also been criticized. There is no way to please all the fans when it comes to who to sign to a big deal, who to draft, who to claim off waivers, etc. There's never been united agreement on player deals and there probably never will be.

LOL. As I said you need to watch more football to get a clue. Stafford looked like crap when Woods went down. That's just one player.
Brady looked shaky for a game or two when Gronk wasn't available. Mahomes was a turnover machine earlier this season. Allen scored only 6 points against the Jags.
So tell me which QB played great in all the games this year?

Not asking him to be perfect, but I do expect a guy who demanded that he be paid at the level of SB winning QB's to be able to engineer a TD before we get to the 4th quarter like the Broncos game or put up a half way decent fight unlike the game against KC and again not generate nothing for most of the game as he did against the Raiders all the while continuing to miss wide open receivers. He asked to be paid like a top flight QB, well time to strap on the big boy pants and play like a top flight QB. I don't want to hear about how his WR's out or his gf has a hang nail. Grow the hell up and play like a competent QB.

So you want to pick out his bad games but ignore the games he won? That's like someone saying he should be the MVP based on Philly and Giants games. Both are ridiculous attempt at evaluating a player. Every top QBs had few bad games this year. You would know that if you watch other teams play.

He had few bad plays but that doesn't mean he had a bad game. Learn how football is played and then maybe you'll know the difference between what having few bad plays and having a bad game is.
