... and I know you are out there...

How can you possibly defend him anymore?

Four years and barely over .500 -- that's unacceptable. Yet I still see "stupid players", "too soft", "no heart", etc. used as excuses for why the Hall of Famer shouldn't really be blamed for the condition this franchise is in.

Will anyone admit that this team has been poorly coached, poorly stocked, and poorly instructed for the last three years now?

There are many people that should shoulder "blame" in all this. It isn't just one person. Jerry, Ireland, Bill, the rest of the coaches... and the players.

I would bet that if this team does not make the playoffs this year then Bill is gone.

There is no way this team should be a .500 club. It's undisciplined. It's unfocused. And Bledsoe should have never been allowed to start the season.

For everyonetrying to blame the coaches- its the players that are doing the actual screwing up. And its on fundamentals that they SHOULD know by heart and almost certainly do. BP and the coaches cannot play for them- and they are the ones messing up.

Well, back in early 2003 when we first got the guy and he walked through the lockerroom and said "Get your expectations up", I believed him.

So I thought we would be further along in the Process and noway would I have believed that we wouldnt have won at least 1 playoff game 4 years into the Parcells Regime.

The biggest difference I thought I would see with Parcells and Campo was that the In-Game decision making would not be questionable and penalties would decrease.

If we dont make the playoffs this year, it really may be time for Parcells to ride into the sunset.

The problem is, who do you replace the guy with? What coach out there has the Skins on the wall to keep Jerry Jones in check.

Im no Parcells hack, but man, be careful what you ask for, you just may get it.

So you wanna bring Campo Back or should we bring back Chan Gailey to try to reharness the magic of Aikman to LaFleur?

No offense, but all of these posts are boring whether true or not. This same stuff is rehashed particularly after a tough loss.

I have mixed emotions when it comes to Parcells.

He has lifted this team from doormat to a team that is perceived as a contender (or, was, entering the season). He's clearly changed the talent pool we have.

Yet, for whatever reasons, he hasn't been able to take the product to the next level. I am curious if, in this job, he'll ever be able to do that. Four years is a while to judge his success. Maybe he's the guy that improved the team but isn't the guy (anymore) to take it to an even higher level.

This team's mistakes seem to ultimately come down to a lack of discipline. I guess the question becomes, is Parcells to blame for that?

I agree that in the end it falls on the coach. I don't agree that we are poorly coached, or poorly stocked.

Parcells has done more good than bad in Dallas so far. I think the big thing is that his mistakes have been pretty costly. Going 10-6 in 2003 greatly hurt us more than it helped us. His premonition that the defense needed to be overhauled wound up being correct. But it was hard to ignore how well they played that year and fell into the "don't fix it if it ain't broken."

That season alone and the personnel decisions after that have caused a plethora of problems.

I also haven't really like the hiring of his assistants. Payton has worked out for the Saints, but Carthon wound up being a major bust in Cleveland. And I'll maintain that Zimmer isn't a bad D-Coordinator, but he's not good either. I'm pretty bored with watching this defense play. Especially when it's blatantly easy to see who is blitzing and where they are going to blitz from. God forbid we actually use an effective delayed blitz.

That pretty much sums up how I feel as well. However, I'm willing to le the remainder of the season play out first.

Yep.

That is why I was saying "If we dont make the playoffs this year, it really may be time for Parcells to ride into the sunset."

Other than Bledsoe not starting the season I don't agree that Parcells is to blame. Let's also remeber Jerry is the one who said he didn't want to go through this season with Romo at QB, he doesn't have the experience.

Parcells has had this team in position to win all but one game. The team doesn't execute the game plan, mental errors or what ever. I think we have great players for some reason they just don't think.

Funny thing is, Parcells was accused of being to hard on these players just a year ago.:D

Of course he's to blame. Who's responsible for bringing in these dumb players who supposedly can't be "coached up"?

yesterday was not on Parcells...he usually plays not to lose on the road...but he did not do that yesterday...he gave the players a chance to make plays..he allowed our playmakers a chance to show what they can do...and what did we do? We drop the ball

This team has a decent chance of making the playoffs - at least as a Wild Card. If they get hot at the right time, all things are possible.

So I want to see how this season turns out before piling on.

What if this team would have been better without TO than they are with him? If so do you absolve Parcells of blame then?
