To true fellow Cowboy fans. it's OK to be excited

Give him credit? Are you kidding me? If we do finally win it then what took him so long? 30 years of wasted years that he could have been all in trying to win a title. All those players careers that he wasted. No if we win I'll give the credit to the current players and coaches that finally overcame Jerry's dysfunctional organization. I Wouldn't count our chickens before they hatch either. It would be just like the Cowboys to get everyone excited again only to flop in the playoffs. I hope they win the SB. I'm tired of them being the laughing stock of the league every year. I am more encouraged than I have been in a long time but this team hasn't even played one game yet. Again it will be a cold day in Hell before I give Jerry. Jones any credit.
Jerry Jones is the reason why it's been 30 years of misery.

I love the guys that think they are super fans because they are more positive. 30 plus years plus the owners are more annoying than ever before. Fans have a right to be skeptical. Not being skeptical is weird. I contend the HC is not a serious coach and the OTs are trash. There is a reason to have hope for sure but remember this...week 1 will not be easy and the division is much tougher now. Hence, being skeptical after DECADES of disappointment is the only way that makes sense.
Fans certainly have a right to be skeptical. I’m worried about the depth this year. But why do you feel the need to tell everyone, every day, in every thread how miserable you are about the Cowboys? Honest question: do you think folks who live with a positive attitude is better than living with a negative attitude all the time? Like you. Honest question.

I don't think anybody's better because I don't believe fandom is a competition it's just different for everybody.

Circumstances alter cases and every fan has a slightly different viewpoint because of what they've experienced.

Having watched the best of cowboy football in the moment the product I watch now leaves me uninspired.

I continue to watch because I am hopeful that at some point our owner will actually go all in and use his resources to do what's right and try and win a championship.

An offseason like this where effort was actually made definitely gives me hope.
Bingo!

A disagreement isn't an attack. Its just a differing point of view. You just think that anyone who isn't "rah rah rah" like you is a hater and rather than hold a civil conversation you just go down the Rockport rabbit hole of negativity and attacks.

That and I suppose you haven't read the verbiage and tone of your OPs have you? Its not always what you say, but the way that you say it.

Let's put it this way, you have the reputation you do, and probably are the most blocked person in this forum, for a reason. Maybe one year you could take that to heart and learn from it.
Again, for the billionth time, I don’t mind anyone who is critical of the team. Heck I am from time to time. But what you are is someone who does nothing but complain all the time. That’s your reputation.

Miserable? I am balanced. After 2 years of missing the playoffs I am bias to the negative until proven otherwise. My prerogative. Others agree with me. I would say the vast majority. Try this on...maybe you are overly positive. Maybe you are that way and just pick fights with others here that disagree with you. You are in the vast minority with that so turn the mirror on yourself.

You’re one of the most miserable folks here. And the others who agree with you are also miserable. Haven’t you ever heard the term “Misery loves company”. That’s you haters. *****ing about the past. Waaa, waaa, waaah.

Blah, blah, blah. Same thing every day as if no one knows Jerry’s the main problem. Do you ever get tired of *****ing or is it just normal for you?
coming from someone that constantly hates on anyone that disagrees with him, this is rich

YOU are the most miserable person here and it is not even close

Its ok to be excited. I'm not falling for it, but I'm also not going to tell anyone how to feel, or act like Rockport and make anyone posting something different ruin my entire week.

Give him credit for doing a good job as general manager during an offseason after decades of doing an average to subpar job? I will go on record, right now, today, August 19, 2026, 2:00 pm ish, with this post:

Shouldn't a Mod know this:

#12 - You will not bump old threads for any reason.

I kid, I kid...

I am a super happy guy. My life is A+. I think you are the guy that's miserable picking fights with everyone on a fan forum.

Thats because so many of you arent smart enough to understand what the salary cap has done to the competitiveness of the league.
Really? That's where you want to go? OK.

No, it's because many of us ARE smart enough to understand the entire two decade Patriots dynasty occurred during the cap era. Many of us ARE smart enough to see other teams loading & reloading and winning multiple championships within short windows.

Only real numbnuts think a three decade failure to even get to a conference championship can be erased by some flowery pre-season talk. The smart ones have long ago given up on talk. Results are all that matter.

Anybody that doesn't realize how different this 2026 team is then they shouldn't respond. This isn't just another year with glaring weaknesses everywhere. If you can't handle it, fine. Be miserable or keep trolling. Whatever the case.
You post as if a person can't disagree we will win the SB while also thinking we are much better than last year?

We are finally going into a season where there is reason to believe we have a chance of winning it all. The pieces are now in place to pull it off. For all the years Jerry has held us back, you can finally give him a smidge of credit for what he did this offseason. It started with the trade of Parsons that put us a position to completely revamp the defense. Not just revamp - but improve exponentially at all levels. And despite what some morons continue to say here, we have an outstanding QB who likely plays the best season of his career. Offense will be dominant. Defense goes from being a complete liability to a strength. Of course, everyone knows that regardless of talent, certain things must go your way to win it all - but the fact is, we have a roster capable of pulling it off.

And again, in the big picture it's entertainment. Not life and death. It's meant to be fun. And for the first time in a long time, you have a team you can be proud of and have fun supporting.
it does feel like the worm is turning.
