Today should have been a clear reminder to Jerry of his failures

What failure?
Jerry's goal is m9ney.
Cowboys are most profitable team in NFL
They are worth 11B.

His goals and fans goals aren't the same. You are measuring failure from your point of view
Jerry is making money but he's driving the franchise into irrelevancy

So many other great franchises now, so many years since winning the Super Bowl they are just one of many great teams now all time

Jerry Jones put the Cowboys right where he wants them, The media talking and the stadium making him money year round

What do you guys expect after seeing all the evidence?

I honestly want to know, who really thinks this about the playoffs and the Lombardi?

he was thrilled last year and though the team was really good. the only reason we backed in was that Philly collapsed.
Ironically only us fans are talking about them now, they are becoming irrelevant after the 20 year Patriot dynasty and now the Chiefs dynasty, the 1990's are 30 years ago now, great times but you have other stuff to talk about

What Jerry sees is a team without its quarterback, without its No. 1 receiver, without one of its top defensive linemen, without a second-year linebacker who was playing great and without a top cornerback who was an All-Pro before injury setbacks.

Because of those things, he's not going to feel that Philly is ahead of us. He's going to believe we'd be in the playoffs if not for those injuries ... and it's hard to argue that if everyone had been healthy we wouldn't be a playoff team. Of course, what Jerry wouldn't admit or couldn't see is that even if everyone was healthy, we did nothing to improve our playoff fortunes.
This is a really good post.

This is also extremely delusional because players get hurt every year and we did not have the depth to overcome it.

Team's still trash even with all these players available, Jerry can shove his excuses where the sun don't shine and same with the all the blind homers who enable him and drink his kool-aid year after year.

Philly is on another level in terms of roster management right now compared to us. Washington dumped their "Jerry Jones" when Snyder was forced to sell and it appears they have competent ownership and management in place. The Cowboys aren't winning the division IMO in the next 2-3 years, at least. And it will 100% be Jerry's fault
Agree 100% but many fans not appreicating winning seasons or advancing to playoffs. What stands out with Eagles IMO, not just their talent but continuity. Many of their elite players been together awhile but not here. Many fans want them gone.......how often we hear fans wanting to build around players or let's get him some help.

What stands out is the addition of Barkley. What also stands out is we added Zeke and GM Jethro thought this was an adequate response.

He actually believed that Zeke was better than either Barkley or Henry. That alone would have any other GM fired.

irrelevancy is subjective.

to Jerry, we are on the news, like a soap opera 24x7....which makes cowboys relevant (to him).

in terms of winning championships and being contenders. we are not relevant. that matters to die hard fans only

That‘s the truth. The Jones boys are fat, lazy billionaires playing fantasy football. Real GMs literally have their livelihoods on the line to win a championship. Not here.

These guys are completely lost and don’t even care enough to work harder. Jerry is so shameless that he’s not embarrassed to show up at boxing matches during the season when other GMs are scouring film he’s rubbing elbows with celebs and planning the next concert, rodeo or tractor pull at his stayjum.

He loves being a celebrity waaaaay more than he loves winning.
And refuses to peruse scouting reports or watch game film of possible draftees.

Jerry believes the Cowboys are relevant just by how he keeps the stadium busy. Jerry makes a tone of money off the stadium. I am sure as soon as we were mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, if not sooner, he started booking out the stadium.
