No injuries.
Dak and Romo got us scoring drives.
Bailey got to use his leg for a few scores.
Great coffin corner punt by Jones.

Beasley and TWill got some work.

A win in my book. Even at that, without that weak penalty on Wentz when we were up 13-10 and they were about to punt, we might just win that game playing with no urgency at all.

Yep. As much as I'd have liked a win, I can't complain. No injuries. The defense, missing key starters, still looked decent. Dak looked good. Tony looked good and showed he can still play, which hopefully makes him legitimately tradeable now.

All in all, this was about as good as a win, IMO.

I thought the way they used Romo was perfect. Dak got the start and a chance to get in some work. Romo came in and despite not having a full starting offense the team just looked different. I am not going to get into any Dak and Romo debate, that has been settled, but Romo's throws were so crisp and on time.

And then Sanchez came in. I hope that they saw enough that they realize he isn't good enough to be the backup next year if Romo is gone. He is just terrible. No pocket feel at all. Poor accuracy.

Romo looked good. He's an excellent QB

Anyone who isn't relatively happy with today isn't looking at the bigger picture

When did Dallas ever win a Super Bowl after dropping the final regular season game (meaningless or not)? Never!
The Cowboys lost their edge today - and will likely not regain it in the post season.

Dallas will be one and done now. - momentum is everything.

Good

I see these other playoff teams rolling today, and I'll admit I'm concerned. I saw this movie in '07. Hope it has a different ending. I'm glad we escaped injury free but momentum is huge in this game.

personally I think you play to win every game I think this game will come back to haunt them in the playoffs

I doubt Brady would have played all game had the pats been down 2 starters on their OL.

ATL could need to win to make sure they get that bye.

Steelers where playing their backups, like us nothing to play for.

Only surprise to me us the Giants, nothing to play for yet playing their starters and playing to win

Would much rather have played good, solid ball, even in a loss, then that stumblefest. Very glad there were no injuries, but I would have felt much better if they'd been sharper.

How does a game 14 days before we play again hurt us? I can understand if we were not playing well before this game, but we were. And few of the guys who were playing well for us played today, so it's not like we took a step back with starters, and then pulled them from the game. You earned the first week bye. You give your banged up players three weeks to get fully healthy. And you make sure no key starters get hurt by sitting them. Today was played exactly right by Garrett. Go ask Jack Del Rio if he would have sat Carr if last week were week 17.

This concerns me too. Hope we don't lose our edge like we did in '07.

What playoff team that isn't playing for anything today?

Pittsburgh lost to Cleveland.

We could have won today if our starters had kept playing. As bad as Sanchez played, we were still in the game until very late. I still feel good about the tea,. 14 wins isn't worth getting a major player hurt.
