Pittsburgh lost to Cleveland.
No, Pitt won 24-21 in OT.
Pittsburgh lost to Cleveland.
I understand the concept of making sure the starters are not injured in a game that means nothing in terms of the playoffs. However, it seems to me that it is always better to win than to lose. Play for pride or bragging rights, if nothing else.
Bragging rights? Cowboys are moving on, Eagles are going home for the season..that's bragging rights
And this team doesn't seem to be acting like that team did. the whole celebration like crazy for winning the division and a bye week is like a win. Most of the starters looked fine in the first half and the team looked fine in the first half. We were playing mostly 2nd and 3rd stringers in the 2nd half. Just don't let any of the players go to Cabo with Jessica Simpson over the bye week.
Anyone who isn't relatively happy with today isn't looking at the bigger picture
We could have won today if our starters had kept playing. As bad as Sanchez played, we were still in the game until very late. I still feel good about the tea,. 14 wins isn't worth getting a major player hurt.
Giants? What playoff team that isn't playing for anything today?
Nope. It's always better to win meaningful games at the expense of meaningless games.I understand the concept of making sure the starters are not injured in a game that means nothing in terms of the playoffs. Giants?
bsWhen did Dallas ever win a Super Bowl after dropping the final regular season game (meaningless or not)? Never!
The Cowboys lost their edge today - and will likely not regain it in the post season.
Dallas will be one and done now. - momentum is everything.
Their starters barely put up more points than we did with Sanchez and all key offensive starters out for 3 quarters.Giants?

I see these other playoff teams rolling today, and I'll admit I'm concerned. I saw this movie in '07. Hope it has a different ending. I'm glad we escaped injury free but momentum is huge in this game.
Exactly! Football games are meant to be won. All I have heard is players wanting to keep their edge - don't lose the momentum. So what happens? Team puts in Sanchez and he turns the ball, and the momentum over to the opponent.I understand the concept of making sure the starters are not injured in a game that means nothing in terms of the playoffs. You said it, did we forget the game against Detroit, Dallas steam rolled a playoff team, and I feel confident in saying Detroit is a lot better than Philly. If Dallas had played their starters, today's game probably would have been a blowout. By the same token, had several key starters been injured in a meaningless game(imop) can you imagine the second guessing that would be going on. Garrett would be run out of town.We rolled last week, and probably would have rolled today if we played the starters to win...
