The guy puts up great stats year in and year out, we just can't put it together when the lights are shining the brightest. Hopefully that changes this year.

Great Post - Thanks!

I noticed that Romo has the most passing yards (with Peyton Manning second on the list). So I decided to check TDs vs INTs between the two QBs for 100 career starts:

TDs through 100 games:

Tony Romo: 189 TDs
Peyton Manning: 178 TDS

INTs through 100 games:

Tony Romo: 91 INTs
Peyton Manning: 112 INTs

Romo has had more passing yards, more wins, more TDs and less INTs than Peyton Manning in their first 100 career starts. Actually 99 starts for Romo as of now. He'll distance himself even further today in TDs and yardage.

Any idea what their ages are/were at 100 starts?

Also, If i have my info correct. Romo could become the all-time NFL leader through first 100 career starts in terms of yardage.

Currently:

Kurt Warner - 27,441
Dan Marino - 27,274
Tony Romo - 27,168 (99 starts)

Romo would need 274 yards passing today to sit at the #1 spot all-time.

Just can't help yourself.

I don't understand the fans of this team. Never have and never will.

Romo is well on his way to a seventh straight Top 10 season in passer rating. Only these 6 QB have more:

13 Montana
13 Manning
11 Brady
8 Dawson
8 Fouts
8 Young

Philip Rivers = underrated............ and he is having one helluva year this year.

Coaching.

Agreed. Rivers has a 2.32 release time after the snap so far this year. That is why our D-Line couldn't get to him in that game. He's an extremely underrated QB.

I got that "time to attempt" info from a blog by "one-cool-customer" over at BTB. It's a great article which lists all of our upcoming QBs we face. And why, in certain games we lacked QB pressure. The article explains it better than I can...And I fully agree with it.

Here it is for those interested:

Romo became the starter at age 26 - 100th start at age 33
Peyton became the starter at age 22 - 100th start was at age 28
Makes you wonder what could have been had Romo been ready to go right away.

He's been outstanding all year. He has the 2nd best QB rating, he's 3rd in passing yards and tied for 2nd in TD's. Probably the most underrated player in the league this year, thus far.

He is having a great season also, but what does this have to do with the thread?
