Today's practice?

I find it really interesting that Lucky Whitehead hasn't practiced during OTAs. I know they're saying he has some sort of injury, but if I were in his position, it would take a serious injury to keep me off the field to prove to everyone I'm capable of producing. He already has ~0% chance to make the team, and sitting out like this doesn't help.

On number 3, maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm excited to see what Damontre Moore might bring to that spot as well. Sure, he's been an idiot, but a talented idiot too. If he has matured, realized the opportunity in front of him, and capitalizes on his talents, we might have something in him.

I never took the time to do much research on him. Is he considered a speed rusher?

Demarcus Lawrence is a lose/lose proposition for the team. If he under performs in a walk year then he is another 2nd round bust they traded up for. If he over performs in a contract walk year, he probably cant be trusted to stay healthy or not get suspended going forward. Bottom line: I dont see him here in 2018 no matter what happens.

I'll take 10+ sacks from him this year and worry about the rest later.

  • One of Dak Prescott’s best throws of the day was the strike he delivered to Rico Gathers during Blitz Period. Prescott, standing in the middle of the pocket, managed to fit the ball between Byron Jones and a driving Robert Blanton. Gathers did a great job of working Jones up the field to the outside, then broke hard inside to buy the space. Prescott knew exactly where he was going with the ball and he let it fly right at chin level for Gathers to haul in. If the pass had been a tick late or off the mark, Blanton would’ve knocked it down.
  • Good to see Jourdan Lewis show up in 1-on-1 coverage against Terrance Williams. Before the ball was snapped, I noticed Dez Bryant out of the corner of my eye with both arms raised, signaling touchdown. He saw that Lewis has no safety help over the top and was all by himself. Williams was able to get off the line well, but Lewis rallied back into position. Kellen Moore laid the ball down the field to give Williams a chance to go get it, but Lewis playing underneath took his left hand and knocked it away.
  • Anthony Brown came up with a big play when he was able to knock the ball out of Dez Bryant’s hands on a curl route. Bryant was able to settle down to the left of Dak Prescott and for just a split second was open. Prescott fired the ball in his direction, but just as the ball arrived – Brown managed to work his hand inside of Bryant’s and raked the ball out of his grasp.

That's how it's always been structured, would seem ridiculous to change that just to allow the media to watch Jaylon practice in OTAs

Considering it's the biggest story going right now by a lot I would disagree. Jaylon not being available to the media is by design not happenstance.

It's totally by design according to Broaddus. Garrett does not want to answer questions at every briefing
all on Jaylon.

Thank you.

But I don't think it's about answering questions. They could do that today regardless of who was on the field. I think it's about hiding Tiny Tim's true condition.

I noticed some good work from Charles Tapper in this practice. Tapper has been working at both left and right end. He had a really nice rush against Skipper where he attacked his corner before he had a chance to react. I said it this morning on “Cowboys Break” and I’ll repeat it: I am keeping a close eye on who is most consistent with their practices – Tapper or Taco Charlton. Would be outstanding to see them develop in a way to help in the rotation.

Tap. Is. Back.

If you can beat Dan Skipper there's no hope for the rest of the league.

I think he can be a part of the answer in filling that RDE role. I don't think he's a fast "timed guy", but he's got the quickness, bend, arm length and "want to" to be a factor if he has his head screwed on right.
