I read on walterfootball that he's apparently going to be ready to go for training camp.

If that is the case, I doubt he'll be around at pick 27. There's a few teams in front of us that really need a RB,and with what the Cowboys did last year with the running game, be on the lookout for teams trying to land a blue chip running back.

I wouldn't be surprised if there Gurley and Gordon are gone by pick 27.

Would love to get Gurly at 27 and he is the only RB I would like at that spot. If we can get a good DL instead than draft a RB like Coleman in the 2nd or 3rd.

Fine by me,hopefully it will push some Dlinemen down to us,I refuse to believe that the cowboys will trade up for a RB.

I doubt they trade up as well, there are other running backs, like you say maybe that pushes down some DL talent, Brown or Dupree!

I am beginning to wonder if some of the other backs many of us like will be gone by 60, surely we can still get one in rounds 3-5 but it may not be your main target.

If there is a consensus that he will be ready for TC then he will be gone by #27. That's OK because I normally wouldn't want a RB in the first but I could not pass on Gurley if available.

If Gurley is gone, and Gordon too as I've warmed to the idea of him at 27, Yeldon may be there at 60, but if not the best value may be in the 3rd with Buck Allen, or Mike Davis. I think the 4th will be far to late to really get any upgrade at RB and would rather not take one at that point.

I could live with Allen or Davis, funny thing is, what if they pull the trigger on AP, do we still grab a RB in the later rounds?

If teams believe he will be a full go for Training Camp, he's gone well before our pick. I seriously doubt he would be though and would not be shocked to see him have to go on the PuP list. Thats a very speedy recovery if he's training camp ready, and would wonder if he wasn't rushing it.

I do not think he is ready by TC, Mickey saw him yesterday at VR and stated that he still favored that leg a little, he may need more time but the wait will be worth it unless you have to start him day one!

I would think RB would be off the board or at least wouldn't be touched until the 7th or PFA. I would still take Gurley though if he fell even with AP. With a 30 yr old RB, theres no telling when his decline will really set in, and it usually happens quick with RBs. Any elite, top 10 talent is worth the pick at 27, even if it was a TE.

No doubt, top 10 talent, you draft BPA always! Too bad he will probably gone by #27.

I think he had the surgery on Nov 27th it takes a minimum of 9 months for that tendon to blend/anchor with that bone, only then can he fully work out and stress that knee, Adrian Peterson was a pure anomaly in his rehab, very close to a Lance Armstrong recovery if you get my drift. August 27th Gurley will have served his graft time. He is going to miss some games and will not be 100% till late in the season if I had to bet money. I promise you though if we draft him Jerry will advertise him as fully recovered. Either way he is worth the wait IMO. If he is gone than the real draft work can commence.

Thats how I feel. Very doubtful in my mind that he is a full go game 1. People should realize AP is the exception, not the rule. This is the main reason I still think Gordon goes 1st.

He hasn't worked out so far. I doubt anybody invests a 1st rounder on a guy who cant work out.
