Todd Haley named Chiefs HC

Congrats to him. I like his fire, mainly from what I've seen of him on the side lines.

he certainly isn't afraid to get yelled at & doesn't hestitate to yell back either.

sounds like the opposite of our HC.

good luck to him, i personally dont think he will have that great of success given KC current status. but ya never know get cassell and a few good draft picks and wolah could turn it around

Good for Haley. He is working with Pioli....looks as if they drafted some nice players last year and have more picks this year. If they can find a QB...

I wouldn't want to play for him. He's a real look-at-me guy. I think at times he tries to show up his players.

But he's a martyr here because he stood up to T.O aka snitched on his players.

Then in a beautiful web of quantum entanglement, he got a rat in his wife's McDonalds salad. Isn't it ironic.... don't ya think?

Another Dallas assistant that got ran out of town on a rail but now everyone wanted back.

Can't wait till people bash Jerry for letting him go. :lmao2:

There is no reason to bash him. It was clear he didn't like him. There is no reason for him to have been kept. Jerry Jones has made some mistakes with what coaches he has retained, this is not one of them.

With all these talented staff that we had under Parcells, how come we couldn't win a playoff game?

Early on, I'd have bet money on Jon Gruden getting that job. It amazes me how many Super Bowl winning coaches are not on the sidelines now. Dungy doesn't count. I think he will stay retired. Billick, Gruden, Holmgren, Shanahan, and Cowher. That has to be an all time high.

I think it was a combination of things. The team was too young and he was too hard on them. They played tentative and conservative at times. That was why Wade had such amazing immediate success, but then we tanked at the end because he was simply too soft.

Sounds like an indictment against the organization more than anything else.

The wr he has coached in this league have had some of their best years. He is a guy that gets the most out of his players. Is he abrasive? Yes, but so what.

And he is not a martyr. He coaches all his players the same way. Its owens that had the audacity to sleep through meetings and constantly show up late. If you do that with that kind of coach you will have problems.

if terrance copper and terry glenn had to be in the meetings and be on time why couldnt owens?

and I am glad you think its great that his wife got a rat in her salad. That says alot.

An opinion I agree with.

Parcells put a talented team together, but his philosophies and schemes were too conservative for the modern NFL and he held his own team back.

Wade came in and he and Garrett took more chances - both offensively and defensively.

But when the inmates started running the asylum, the team began to underachieve and play sloppy, undisciplined football.

we were not conservative offensively. That is a myth.

Now defensively the last 5 weeks of 06 we became like robots. And I attribute alot of that to frustration from the coaching staff from guys on the field not doing their jobs, so they tried to make it as easy as possible for them. Losing ellis didnt help either.

Sure would suck if he wins big there. It's possible being a Parcells disciple. Pretty much the opposite of Wade"check me now for a pulse" Phillips
