Tom Brady is no longer playing like an elite QB

Who said Brady & Co would be a foregone conclusion?

you want to split hairs over foregone conclusion or not that’s fine.

Regardless, our defense has given us no reason to have any confidence that they can stop even average QB’s from having good games.

He also has a mash unit for an OL and very few skill players around him worth a dam. But , unlike in Dallas these days, success in NE isn't measured by regular season glory. Brady's bar is the super bowl.

The Cowboys defense is scary bad. Brady is not what he was, but he can still play. He will take advantage. If Jeff Driskill can put up 27 points, what can Tom Brady do?

Turnovers and some luck are the only way the Cowboys win this game. Cowboys have more talent, but the disparity in coaching is as wide as the Grand Canyon.

More like average in efficiency and above average in aggregate because of the offense.

The defense doesn't have to beat your ideal; it only has to be better than the competition. Fact is defense is not very good around the NFL.

And the "only" way to beat the Patriots is to score more points.

I don't think you have to worry about the Pats Offense. It's the defense that is carrying the team. Brady can be very average at times. But he also has the capability to be elite. Their lack of the consistent run game will probably fix itself vs. the dallas D. I hope not but that's just my gut feeling at this point.

They're 3rd in the league in points per game.

Patriots are going to run up and down the field on us. Brady really won't have to throw that much

The defense held Wentz in check. Rodgers, only threw for 221 yds. This team has allowed lesser QB's to look great. Sunday will be a toss up. If the Patriots can get their running game going, it will not be pretty. If Dallas gets their running game going, they are a formidable opponent. Coaching, in all three phases of the game, should lead to victory.

LOL Rodgers was up 31-3 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter (and playing without his #1 receiver, Adams)...only threw for 221 yds...LOLOL

An all time great like Brady at the latter end of his career is obviously not nearly as good as he was even 5 years ago. But he can still rise up and be great once in a while, just not as consistently. He can’t throw with the same velocity as he once had but he makes up for it in smarts.

He’s probably the smartest, savviest player on the field. I would never underestimate a champion like this.
That's about the size of it.

Lol, all you want, your Cowboy hate will suffer a blow this weekend.

I hope your right but what does that have to do with you saying we held Rodgers in check in a game he was up 31-3 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd, playing without Adams? One has nothing to do with the other and i was LOLing at that comment not whether or not i want the Cowboys to win

I was referencing QB's that the defense held in check, versus allowing unknown QB's to flourish. Your earlier post stated the "Patriots are going to run up and down the field on us." Was that a reference to a Cowboy victory?

Ya but he wasn't really held in check...31-3 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd playing without his #1 receiver, what i meant by run up and down on us is that Brady won't be throwing much as their running game will dominate and our D is not very good against the run

um wasn't that the 3-4 Int game by Dak, lost of short fields is the reason we lost..some defense sure but you dont have to pout up a ton of yards when given short fields with TOs..

Pretty tough to argue the sheer brilliance of that. I bet it took you weeks to put that together
