he is the greatest QB ever. He wins one more SB, he will be the greatest player ever. We might never see somebody like this in our lifetimes.

Joe Montana. 4 Super Bowl victories in 8 years.

Montana couldn't carry Brady's jock with a forklift. Brady makes mini Hulk Hogan look like Jerrah Rice for crying out loud. No Gronk? No problem. Dude is just sick. Hate it but just sick.

Agreed. Always wondered though how history would have been had he played for any other coach not named Belichick. What if the Browns picked him in the 4th? There's gotta be something in that NE water. Even when Brady doesn't play (injury or suspension) the team still wins.

I think he will be recognized as the best QB for sure. He is one of the greatest and he will be the most decorated...but that is such a difficult position to say that because there are so many ways to play the position and so many other factors.

I think both head coach and QB need each other and it has been the perfect situation for both.

Interesting. Brady and all these great QB's were/are part of a team. They didn't accomplish their greatness alone. Not taking anything away from them but they were part of something. In regards to Tom..he has been very fortunate to have played during the " Can't hit the QB era" and this has probably extended his career also. He is pushing 40 and still going strong.

The thing about the Patriots is their offense can morph from week to week. One day it's multiple tight ends and pounding Blount 20+ times, the next week it's no tight ends and Brady throwing it 50 times. It takes a smart QB to make that work.

That's the attribute I most admire about BB coached teams -- they are willing to morph into whatever they think gives them the best chance of winning - and they do it on a week to week basis.

I really only think you can measure apples to apples.
If you want to argue Brady is the best QB, go for it.

There is really no way to measure the best ever "football player" across positions.
You can try to do it, but it's like spitting in the wind.

No denying one thing...Brady is a great QB

He is a great player for sure. But the AFC East has just been horrendous for years. Terrible head coaches. Terrible QBs. Terrible teams. And the team wins...even when he does not play. Do they win to the same degree? But they won 10 games with Matt Cassell. And they won 3 of 4 with 2 different QBs this past year. So while I agree he is a great QB...the climate he has done it in has not been all that challenging. Now you want to start discussing Bellicheck is the best to have ever done it....I would get on board with that.

Bill Bellichek has also coached with Ernie Adams during his tenure. And Adams is the guy who told the Patripots CB to look for the pass in the SB against Seattle and the Cb jumped the route off the bat. He's also the guy Matt Walsh singled out as the man he gave the videotapes to. He's suppose have a photographic mind and a genius. I'm pretty sure he's also the guy that told the Patriots to run the ineligible-eligible WR rule to allow the Pats to move the ball against the Ravens during the Deflategate year.

It's really hard to determine the best QB ever. You have different QBs of different eras, different rules, and, of course, they didn't play on equal teams. Archie Manning was great, but his teams were always horrible. Dan Marino may have been the best ever, but he was never on a team quite good enough to win it all.

People still trying to use SBs as a measure of the quality of a single player.

Brady is making his record 7th SB appearance, 2 more than any other QB in NFL history and if NE wins Brady will have 5 SB wins, more than any other QB. QBs are judged by playoff success and Brady will be making his 34th playoff appearance in the SB, that's more than 2 seasons worth of playoff games and he's 24-9. The quality of Brady is undeniable and it's all due mostly to his playoff success, SB wins and appearances.

If NE wins the SB he will clearly surpass Joe Montana as the greatest QB in NFL history. It would be hard to argue against him with 7 SB appearances and 5 SB wins. If Brady never arrives in NE, Belichick would have been out of a head coaching job years ago and NE wouldn't have one single championship. No single player in NFL history has made more of an impact on a franchise than Tom Brady has made with the Pats.

If you're not already versed in Sammy Baugh's history, go look him up. Today's players are "specialists" and have no versatility. Baugh was a great one. There are others, as well. It's kind of silly, IMO, to claim that Brady or any other player is "GOAT", because you simply can't properly account for differences in the game from different eras...stats mean nothing in those comparisons. I can only imagine Brady's (or any other current era QB's) reaction if he would have had to endure what the QB's of the past had to endure. Refs would probably have ejected him for excess whining.

When Brady showed up in NE, the Pats were just another team and Belichick was just another HC who was on the hot seat. No player, and it's not even debatable has done as much for a franchise as Brady has done for the Pats. He's turned that franchise into the greatest dynasty in league history. No QB has the list of accomplishments and skins on the wall that Brady has. He's won every award imaginable multiple times. He led NE to a 17-0 season and FOUR 14 win seasons. What an incredible career he's had. Anyone who tries to downplay what he's meant to NE doesn't a clue about football and how valuable a QB is to a franchise.
