That was an interesting show.

I did not know that we were targeting Lynn Swann with the choice directly behind the Steelers.

Turns out they picked him with five seconds left on the clock to add to what was an epic draft that year for them. We had a good one as well, but nothing can beat getting Stallworth, Lambert, Swann and Webster in one draft. Amazing.

I'll never forget my uncle informing me that Too Tall Jones would not be allowed to play football next year and of course I gobbled up the hook and the sinker and asked him why?

Remember his boxing career?

His legs are enormous. He reminds me of one of these.

I try not to. Wasn't pretty.

He was 6-0 with 5 knockouts?

Or are you talking about the fact he left the team?

That was just before I started watching football. I remember my uncle (Steelers Fan) always saying stuff when we watched Dallas games.

To tall came back a better player after his boxing stint. He always credited the training in the ring for much better footwork.
Great great football player. Never seen anyone better at swatting down passes.

Did you actually watch the fights? I did. It was not pretty and he essentially fought a bunch of bums.

I have a few friends that boxed and some now (younger) in MMA, some aren't very good and don't win a whole hell of a lot... I don't call them bums though cause they can still kick my azz. When it comes down to it they may not be the best but what is the average man that doesn't get in the ring considered if these warriors are considered bums. Just good for thought bro... On the other side yes the people he fought were not very good. =-)
