Tom Landry Stadium Petition

Oh give me a break!
Sometimes some folks should shut up. Especially when they have nothing whatsoever to do with what is going on. There is no reason to act like an arse over this and they should respect someones right to do it if they want.

Telling someone to "Give it up" is absurd.
Actually Dallas is right in that when you post something like this, you almost have to accept the good with the bad. Not everyone is going to agree with your efforts and they're allowed to post their thoughts, even if you don't like them.

However, you're reaction to is just as negative as some of the comments against the logic behind the petition. If you're not prepared for the comments, then you might want to consider not posting it.

Any rumors on who is bidding on the name? Oh and at least Landry has a hiway named after him in Dallas..

I'm starting a petition to name the new stadium after ME.

I have just as good a chance as Tom Landry does!

Actually he's wrong. You would think that a place where everyone has a common love, that of the Cowboys, that you should be able to expect at least those people would, if not support the option, at least no act like a dope towards those nearly 900 people who are supportive of it.

My reaction to it, while mildly caustic, was appropriate. This is not a thread about who should be starting at CB or who we should draft with our first pick. Those are the kinds of things that are open to debate and the free exchange of ideas. This is simply a post to make some aware of it.

These are the same kinds of people who hate to see someone take an initiative on anything because generally they have none of their own. They like to sit around and wait for others to do things and ride on their efforts.

Then you have a misperception of what is open for debate on this board.

Your effort is noble and should be applauded, but in no way should it stop people from posting their opinion about it. If you stood on the corner hawking signatures, you would probably get the same reaction.

And in a few years there won't be many fans at the new stadium under the age of 35 who will remember landry.

And that right there is why we should be doing this.

I guess some people just can't play nice around here.
