4 straight runs within the tackles. No points.

The media would be talking about Garrett all week if he passed up the sure points, but you can bet Tomlinson will get a pass. I hope Pitt loses because of that bit of bad playcalling.

too bad the brown offense and especially wr's are terrible.

Maybe if Mike Tomlinson had LaDainian Tomlin in his backfield he would have scored there.

Hahahaha I see what you did there.

Only 14 points against a Browns team with no offense!!!! And it took a late TD to get us 14 points!!!!

Man... this win doesn't even count. In fact, I count it a defeat. If you can't beat the Browns in a more convincing fashion that that, then you are in BIG trouble in the playoffs.

Sarcasm off.

You do realize that Omar Epps' stunt double Mike Tomlin is just a voice at the microphone and a sideline cheerleader. LeBeau runs that team. Ask any Steeler fan and the majority will agree.

I'm confused by this thread. Who is Tomlinson?

Watched Tomlin's PC, it was pretty clear he wasn't happy about it.

I like Tomlin and wouldn't mind him being the HC here. I can see how he's grown into the role.

Also having read twitter, the media focused on the fact that the Browns were able to stop them. It was a pretty big time stop for them.

Tomlin has won a Super Bowl, right?

His team won the game, right?

In the end, it doesn't matter.

Had the Cowboys won the game against the Cardinals on the second kick after the time out, Garrett's decision would have been a footnote to a game that ultimately resulted in a Cowboys' victory.

they would be talking about tomlin too if the steelers had lost

winning brushes a lot under the rug

if garrett takes us to several SBs in the next 5 years and we win a couple, there will be a lot less questioning

He shouldn't be happy. The Steelers couldn't run the ball into the endzone against one of the worse rushing defenses in the league.

Switzer is still considered an idiot and he has a Superbowl.

He was trying to put the knockout punch. You have to have balls of steel to run 4 times in a row at the goal line.

Amazing

If the issue is amount of points, they should have scored more. The franchise QB was hurt in the first half. However, Cleveland only scores 13.6 per game. A touchdown basically seals it (and ultimately did).

Their coach was trying to win the game by making it a 2 score game rather than a 1 score game mitigating any fluke scoring. He erred on the side of letting the skill players play. He also made a calculated call that if the off call failed, Cleveland had to drive from >95 yards for a tie against its bellwether defense - it is a well reasoned gamble. By a younger and more proven coach.

(BTW Az average 19pts per game and Dallas 23.6).

Oh, and 14 points would have sealed the cardinal game in regulation. And I didn't see Tomlin ask Ben to clock it and then call a timeout because the team wasn't ready.
