Tomorrow I Try To Win A Chili Contest

Just because it's Hot doesn't mean it's good.

I love Hot peppers and will eat them raw with some things...but at a point it's not enjoyable.

Those of you who tried my chili, I am entering it in a hottest chili contest tomorrow. I am adding peppers.

Patagonia peppers
Diablo peppers

and yes...

2 ghost peppers

will be joining 5 habaneros and 10 jalapenos and my various chili powders.

If I win, I will be entering it in the Tucson Firefighter's Chili cookoff in November.

Tomorrow, some chili judge in Tucson is going to hell courtesy of Hostile's Hotter than Hell Chili.

I'm curious... with that many peppers, how many servings of chili are you making?

:explode:

Im curious if the judge died or not.

That has to give you an instant ulcer from 1 tablespoon.

Okay, I just cooked all the peppers in with the ground beef.

I am sweating like I have been in a suana.

My house smells wonderful, but you can actually feel the heat of the chili in our kitchen.

Wow.

This is going to be fun.

If watching people suffer is your idea of fun. :laugh2:
You know what they say, it's always funny until someone gets hurt, then it's hilarious.

My first taste test was not hot in my mouth, but the sweat is unreal hot.

It's probably more pleasant than "trickblue's Backdoor Express Chili"...

You'll be lucky to get there in time...

Congrats.

Was there ever any doubt?
One lady cried. I told people not to try it if they couldn't handle hot.

Some folks just gotta pee on the hot wire fence even if you tell 'em what's going to happen.

I gotta try this. Is it the recipe you posted here in the past, with the addition of the new diabolical peppers? And where did you get the ghost peppers? Home grown? Internet order?

Amazon has dried once, that's the only way i've ever gotten a hold of some. It's probably a lot easier to get in the U.S though

You can find dried ones on the internet pretty easily, and I bet there's some fresh ones that can be shipped too.

I tried growing them last year here in San Antonio, but they never put on flowers. Got around 4 foot tall, had buds, flowers would open up and then fall off.
