this was by no means a gimmie.

if not for like 100 idiotic drops by their WRs, this game looks a lot different

If beating that team is not something we should have felt confident about, then this isn't going to be the kind of season we all hope it will be. I'm thinking Super Bowl, not 9-7 and one and done. That means games like these need to be games we dominate. Nice job today, Romo played a great game, receivers did a great job and all in all we did what we had to.

I'm not defending it, I don't have to, look at the score, and look at the Bucs. Should have been a convincing win for us, and...... it was.

Something that Aikman used to drive home, even when the Cowboys were at their best in the 90's, is that games in the NFL are hard to win. All of them. In that sense, there are no gimmes, I get that. But at the same time, there are teams you SHOULD beat. That is all I meant by gimme. And indeed, I'm proud of the Cowboys for playing like they should have played against a team like that. At the same time, I would say to you not to over analyze this game for what is "wrong" with us. The team played well. The team won by a good margin. Just enjoy 1-0 and look forward to next week.
