This has always been about loyalty, friendship, nostalgia with Garrett.

Listening to Jerry wax on about “wanting” Garrett to win, talking about redemption, etc. just proved Jerry has let emotion and other factors color his view of the job his head coach has done instead of just looking at this strictly as a work relationship and a review of the performance of the coach.

This is nothing but Jerry protecting his friend to the bitter end.

It’s pathetic. Winning organizations have GMs that don’t let sentimental feelings cloud their ability to make tough decisions. It’s why our sentimental owner should never be making football decisions.

This would mean Jerry admitting failure......when has he ever done that in his life? Pride is the deadliest of all sins...the root of all evil. :(

Jerry made the mistake of hiring Parcells once. Said he had to walk on eggshells even though he wrote the checks. He doesn't want to ever go there again.

Anyone want to start a ******** to buy the Cowboys from Jerry? How much do you think he would sell them for? LOL

That helps to explain the past 10 years of futility..................

Yep, he confirmed that he cares more about the "family atmosphere" and his personal relationships than winning.

That means winning is really his third priority after that and money.
Winning would bring him more money, and he's well aware of that. So that theory seems a bit flawed.

It took you over 8 years to figure this out? Mind blown! Thanks for sharing, I had no idea
