Tonights Game Could Not Of Been Written Better

Not necessarily. Please study your various tv sitcoms and dramas and movie scripts throughout history. The Pats are being set up for the fall. They will be hated and vilified and will lose. Book it.

Just because the cowboys character(Romo) has been written into the lead, don't get so excited.

they would be set up for a fall if the NFL and media would keep harping on spygate and running up the score, and all the dirty hits, and all the non-flags. but instead, the media shows replay after replay of other teams flags/hits, while rarely bothering to replay a pat's wrongdoing. that does not signal being set up for the fall if you haven't been painted as 'evil' or the "antagonist' but i see them being cast as the 'protagonist'

All of this is on the shelf, all they have to do is roll it out.

If pats make it to super bowl, there will be an indecent incident somewhere in playoffs to bring all past shenanigans back to front page and they will be set up for SB fall. It will probably be Dallas slaying the anti-hero, but I don't really care anymore.

The problem si the integrity of the game after Spygate. If the Patriots win the SB, the media will continue with the portrayal that Spygate was never a big deal in the first place. Patriots are winning without it, which means that they won without it in the past.

keep your eye on the ball. Spygate is a diversion. The refs are the real stage directors in this reality show.

Yea, I have not seen one team GET EVERY FREAKING CALL EVERY FREAKING GAME like the Pats.

I am talking about "bail-out" flags, like against Balitimore on a 4th down incomplete pass....holding, lets give them another 4 shots at the zone!

Or against us, we are moving the ball to tie the game up and Kosier is hit with holding on a 4th down run.....got to punt now and basically ended game.

I could name numerous other times this year that the refs "greatly aided" the Pats "Pursuit of Perfection".

16-0 means jack when you know you should have lost 2 or 3 games if it wasnt for the refs handing the game to you. I am totally convinced that noway the NFL is going to let the Pats lose in the playoffs. An 18-0 team in the SB going for the "El Grande 19-0" would be a ratings mega-hit.

The baltimore game was fairly exposing for the league in my opinion.

The writers could be setting up NE for the fall. The sad thing is that the only way to trump their 19-0 story is with major underdog David vs Goliath story. Probably Tampa Bay unfortunately for us.

I am not so sure... I know some will take a different angle on it.

If the NFL has become purely an entertainment company(like WWE) planned or scripted... then its in trouble.

it is more like a reality show. The player participants don't really act per se, but higher level manipulations can induce outcomes.

It is hard to imagine a much better game tonight if you had written it yourself...hmmmmm....

Teh amount of money involved will not allow leaving much to chance.

I am not a big fan of "Conspiracy Theories" and usually disregard them. I was kinda the same way on the Pats for awhile. At first they were getting some calls and teams were complaining............I dismissed it as "sour grapes".

However, as the season moved along it started to become apparent that something was going on. The Pats started getting every call in every close game they had and penalities against them were overlooked. Everytime the Pats started losing to somebody, the refs stepped in and helped them out.

Now I know most on here will say this is just crazy talk, and I would have ageed with them earlier in the season. However, a team gets caught cheating red handed, the commissioner burns all evidence confiscated from the Pats HQ (including tapes from previous seasons according to some on the Internet). What was on those tapes from previous season? We will never know thanks to Godell and his incenerator.

So cheating team, all evidence destroyed, team gets calls on weekly basis, team goes undefeated 16-0..............SOMETHING SMELLS FISHY HERE:(

I am not big on conspiracy theories either.
There are many things in this life that we cannot prove... so... anyways...

  1. caught cheating
  2. evidence destroyed
  3. many beneficial and timely calls in your favor
  4. going undefeated in reg season
This should not go uncontested.

I personally love conspiracy theories. Reality is a conspiracy theory to me. So many witnesses, no concensus.

Adding fuel to the fire:

Gooddell is married to fox news anchor Jane Skinner who is daughter of White house chief of staff under hw bush Sam Skinner.

I think it was pretty apparent in 2001 how the nfl was propagandized. How is that for conspiracy theory?

The good thing that comes out of this game is that NE doesn't look unstoppable anymore. 3 of the last 4 games NE has had to fight their butts off to win and it came down to luck in a couple.

So if you look at our loss to Philthy, should've won that game. We were the first to challenge the Pats, we had penalty after penalty and no Newman or Glenn on the field with the loss to NE. They won't be lucky with the Colts or us next time... hopefully their is a next.
