Tony Dungy: "I used a poor choice of words"... vid Post#36

I wish another media personality can say the same thing when we play the Eagles on january 3rd.

"dallas has no chance against this hot eagles team"

It's gotta be someone with some credibility. I don't think Marshall Faulk saying we have no chance will mean much to anyone.

Who cares what they say although using the video may have inspired someone. Who knows? We won and we dominated them most of the game. We looked great.

can someone post the videos of tony dungy saying dallas has no chance, and the one saying he was wrong. I cant seem to find them, thanks.

The whole Fox broadcasting team picked Dallas over NY a few weeks ago. I think at least one of them used the statement "no chance" to describe NY's chance of winning that game.

Jimmy Johnson pulled out the big fork and said "Stick a fork in the New York Giants. They're done." Of course, the Giants beat us. :(

Well clearly, Dungy has simply lost his mind. He just was talking about Ware coming back from the injury this week, and he said New Orleans didn't expect Ware to be playing on that last play where he got the strip sack. He said if they expected him to be in the game, the back would've been on his side.

Um, what? He was in there playing all night, Tony. And even if for some crazy reason it was a surprise, I think they know who #94 is before the snap.

Ware was not in on every play, correct?

Someone prayed that jimmy would stick a fork in us instead we got folked.

Ware may not have played every down, but I am pretty sure he was in on every obvious pass play which included the last drive.

Well, I'm going to trust Dungy, who has probably forgotten more than we know about football.

Maybe he knows from his experience that when a team hasn't schemed against a certain player because he's injured, it's hard to readjust the game plan for that player, especially a young player like Pierre Thomas.

I don't know. But I'd like to think that being a coach in the NFL counts for something or allows you to have an insight an ordinary fan may not have.

I would respect him more if he would actually stand by what he said. There's no "poor choice of words". He hates Tony Romo and he's made it abundantly clear all season long in his comments. Harrison has even called him out for being a huge Romo hater, and Harrison hates Romo too. Dungy hates Romo so much he tried to blame him for Giants loss ... after he threw for almost 400 yards, and practically singlehandedly kept Dallas in the game. He was just saying what he really felt. He's a weasel for backtracking.

Good for Tony Dungy to come out and admit that he was wrong. Most media heads wouldn't have done it.

This. He's as vanilla as it comes as far as analysts go, doesn't rip anybody - but Romo and the Cowboys have been his whipping boys since week 2.

Terrible analyst, overrated coach. He should stick to "mentoring" dog killers.

Totally disagree. Dungy a weasel? I think not!

Did anyone see what Dungy and Harrison said about the Panthers/Vikings game last night? Patrick asked Dungy if the Panthers "had a chance" to win last night, Dungy laughed and said yes, and he learned his lesson. But apparently Harrison didn't learn from Dungy's mistake. He said the Panthers had no chance to win last night. So if anyone needs help picking winners, just wait till the FNIA crew makes their picks, and do the opposite.

Shockey didn't play either but he plays hot and cold anyway. Reggie Bush has been reduced to a situational player and he was injured in the first half.

We didn't have Columbo, Bennett and we have some players that are brain dead.
