Tony on CBS **merged**

Why, would they rather the typical "the offense would really like to score a touchdown here"?

If anything, he will provide real time education to fans. I liked it

We love it but casual fans dont want the game to be spoiled for them by the color guy telling them whats coming.

Watched him from the pregame on. Saw nothing from his voice that lacked personality. Don't know what you were expecting.

Just something to differentiate him from the rest is all. He is hard to understand at times(softer voice) but that is probably a CBS issue.

I don't know what it is, just can't put my finger on it. Maybe the even keel he is on with no high and low range, kind of a monotone thing.

Like I said, I don't know what sounded just a bit off...........

Tony's comments got better during the 2 minute drill. As a commentator he mirrors how he was as a QB = )

I don't think it would make that big of a difference if we're talking about a causal viewer. A guy calling a play and it happening just as he said it would seems like it would make it easier to see what is going on.

It would be worse if he was calling plays pre snap, and the opposite happened. As long as he calls the stuff correct, he should be fine. If anything he needs to work on his defensive color calling. His approach today was primarily from the offensive side of the ball. I guess that will come with more experience.
