I don’t understand why people would be against it. This is a legendary head coach. The whole “Brady made him” thing is crazy. This man took a 6th round pick and was part in turning him into what he was today. He won games with Matt freaking castle.

The current NE team has 0 talent. No coach is gonna do much with that.

If we don’t reach and nfc title game at least… why not bring in bellicheck. Those who say he can’t work with JJ. Jerry is 80… he ain’t gonna live forever. He wants to win another SB before he dies.

If your opinion is “Brady made Belichick” then you just don’t know football in the slightest.

Belichick is a coach.

His team building is poor. An awful GM.

Belichick is a mastermind as a coach. He’s the best to ever do it actually.
Belichick was a losing head coach before Brady and a losing HC after Brady. My money is on it was more Brady than Belichick.

That's not saying Belichick was terrible, but "best ever" doesn't fly when you only won with one QB. There are other coaches who won over time, as QBs came and went.

If we get knocked out on Sunday and Jerry cleans house, DQ will likely take over. If not DQ there are like 55 good candidates out there right now, and if Jerry does blows MM up he better act quickly or JG may come out of retirement sooner than he hoped he would

BB has failed miserably since the departure of Brady. One can only guess that the TB made BB, and BB did not make TB. Still won't argue BB will be in the hall but it has to give you pause if it's him, or the Brady influence

Landry had 20 straight winning seasons, and 19 playoff berths, with 5 different starting QBs. Only one of them is a Hall of Famer, the one who won his Super Bowls.

He proved he could win with multiple QBs. Belichick won with Brady, and so did Bruce Arians for that matter. But it wasn't Brady, according to some football savants.

Yawn. Nobody wants that bum. He won't be here. End of story
Put some respect on his name, he's the most decorated coach in NFL history.

However, sometimes after so long you get tired, stale, and what you hung your hat on for years is no longer effective. Personally, I think Bill should retire or take a consulting role, because I doubt at this point a team would get the same guy.

People have been disrespecting Mike all week. I'm returning the same energy to a non-Cowboy who I don't want anywhere near Dallas

At the start of December, I wrote an article saying the word from league insiders was Dan Quinn would take over as head coach of the Cowboys if Dallas did not make a deep run into the playoffs.

Yet many of those same people now tell me that they believe, with Bill Belichick available, that he’s the man the Dallas Cowboys turn to if Jerry Jones is not satisfied with the way his team ends the season. If this comes to fruition, it should surprise no one, like Belichick’s exit from New England.

Take it for what it is worth but Pauline has been around forever and is well connected in the league.
On one hand, I like tha Jerald is a wildcatter, a gambler side of him.
But he seems to give extra points to the name. Yes, Jerald is like a little kid, a name is all, not present skills nor diminishing skills.

But can any of you venerable lads see Jerald yakking and running routes with his hand while BB looks ahead and squints?

Bill is used to being fully in charge of a team and picking his own staff and players

he would have no where near that level of control here....he'd be able to pick his own coordinators like McCarthy did but players? no
Are we ready for the Friends of Bill coaching staff? (McDaniels, Patricia, Steve Belichick, etc?)

Jerry would give up his yacht and 10 others just like it before he would give up any meaningful control of the Cowboys.

If Jerry tried to sucker Belichick with promises of control the same way he did Parcells, Belichick would be gone before the first preseason.

Again, not gonna happen but I suppose sports journalists need to make a living and the Cowboys are always easy money.

Doesn’t matter if he’s a good gm or not. I’m saying if we have another embarrassing early exit…. With this current team built to win now there is no better choice.

I’m sick of wasting the windows we’ve had. This squad is good enough to win it all. Coaching matters in this league and he’s one of the best.

Let’s hope this is all a moot point and we’re playing in SF in two weeks… but if not I’d seriously consider it

It’s sad that if you actually think that but go on.

Belichick is an awful evaluator of talent. Just like most coaches.

But coaching, game management, and having a team prepared… There has never been anyone better. He’s the goat.
He wins Super Bowls.
