The betting odds are Big Mike will fail. Again.

Jerry wants the best coach. And he’s the best.
He is not the best coach available. And Jerry does not want the best coach. Jerry wants a yes man. Bill's horrible draft picks makes Jerry's track record as GM look good. And that is saying something.

Jerry wants money. That is it. If he wanted to win he would have hired a real GM and changed the way he does business years ago.

This is how you know a guy does NOT have league sources.

If Jerry wanted to do this he would be quiet as a church mouse.
If he didn't, he'd leak it all over just for entertainment purposes.

If Jerry is talking about something that's how you know it isn't real.

Belichick would want Parcells-like control to take over any franchise.
And he likely wants a year off.

If Jerry decided MM was a bum he would promote DQ.

I was curious if Bill is wanting a year off...but he is up there in age. I dont think he wants that even if he is telling himself he is going to coach until he croaks or if he is telling himself he still has 5 year left.

I will be surprised if he takes a year off. I assume he has already been talking to a team and has a plan in place since rumors have been going around for 9 months at least.

I think Bill wants to get to a team with quality pieces that he feels he can take deep into playoffs, not tarnish his coaching legacy any further and get those wins that put him as the winningest coach ever. And I think he wants to do that asap...not put it off a year.

Bill isnt going to some bad team and tarnishing his name like the past 4 years in New England. He wants to rebound, hopefully take a team deep in playoffs if not Super Bowl, get those wins he needs to be winningest ever and then retire.

I dont think Bill wants full control anymore....just to be winningest coach ever asap....and he will relinquish full control to slide onto a good team he can win with.

I just don't see it. Not sure the fan base would be super crazy about that idea either. Not that Jerry would care.
ditto here.

that's too much ego, power conflict and i think if Belly comes.. McClay will go

Wil has become too very valuable to the organization and an 72 yr old Belly is gonna be
way too stone set in his ways.

He's not good for Dak, and another O' Brien, or worse Patricia could end up here as a Dak mentor OC

.

It’s sad that if you actually think that but go on.

Belichick is an awful evaluator of talent. Just like most coaches.

But coaching, game management, and having a team prepared… There has never been anyone better. He’s the goat.
The Hoodie is a great coach but I have watched him screw the pooch on clock management before. It seems that element of the game is every coach’s kryptonite.

I think that would be a mistake. Belichick isn't guaranteed to be successful. He didn't have anywhere near the success in Cleveland that he had in New England. Now he's old, and he won't have a Tom Brady. If he even takes another job, I would be surprised. He's rich. Why not just retire and enjoy life. Travel the world.

Funny.

The guy who goes out of his way to say as little as possible…to the point of being rude…is going to put up with Jerry and kid on the radio constantly?

No.

You’re also taking at least a small step back offensively for next season with a new scheme.

This feels like total BS. More lame Jerry motivation.

I couldnt handle Bill's sons mouth and tongue gestures on the sideline a full season, let alone multiple. I couldnt even take two games of it.

Its repulsive.

At the start of December, I wrote an article saying the word from league insiders was Dan Quinn would take over as head coach of the Cowboys if Dallas did not make a deep run into the playoffs.

Yet many of those same people now tell me that they believe, with Bill Belichick available, that he’s the man the Dallas Cowboys turn to if Jerry Jones is not satisfied with the way his team ends the season. If this comes to fruition, it should surprise no one, like Belichick’s exit from New England.

Take it for what it is worth but Pauline has been around forever and is well connected in the league.
Pauline is a legitimate insider, believe what he is saying is true, but it would have to be a terrible showing for them to fire MM.

I don’t understand why people would be against it. This is a legendary head coach. The whole “Brady made him” thing is crazy. This man took a 6th round pick and was part in turning him into what he was today. He won games with Matt freaking castle.

The current NE team has 0 talent. No coach is gonna do much with that.

If we don’t reach and nfc title game at least… why not bring in bellicheck. Those who say he can’t work with JJ. Jerry is 80… he ain’t gonna live forever. He wants to win another SB before he dies.
I agree and I am a MM supporter. He could be that coach that takes this team over the top, however, why start over when this team is getting better each year?

Jerry has said he was miserable when Parcells was here because Parcells didn't basically humor him....I can't imagine Belichick being better unless he's just doing a cash grab.

If anything I'd say the defense has come more short that the offense - and they've been pretty balanced there. I'd like to see Mike here regardless and if DQ leaves see if Al Harris or someone else on staff can help. Dont like messing with a coach that has helped Dak play QB at this level.

But as someone said, Jerry don't care what we think

Has anyone seen the team he's built in New England? Old, slow and no weapons - he had roster/draft control.

It was Brady. It was always Brady. Belichick is/was a good DC but he's no mastermind as a head coach.
brady was always the reason

Count me with the skeptics.

Not that Jerry wouldn't have Hoodie Bill.

But that Hoodie Bill wouldn't have Jerry.
