I think if they put the 12th pick up for sale they could fill lots of needs. The Cowboys need so much. You can turn the 12th pick into 3 other top 4 round picks.
The problem is, which player are teams trading up for in this class that has very few blue chip talent? If one of those players falls, you would think, you just take him.

We have to many holes. We need players. On the draft show yesterday they really screwed up and took Simmons at 12. Then took a running back in the 2nd followed by a defensive tackle. Leaving like 5 more holes to fill while wasting your 12th pick on a position that is filled. Made no sense.

They are going to have to spend some fa dollars as there is only so much you can do with 3 picks. I saw it yesterday, no chance Harmon is there in rd 3.

That is my issue with not taking the best player in round one. For example there is no guarantee that Hampton or Johnson will be there at 44. You just don’t know how teams look at these players. I get the mock draft exercise but Broaddus sometimes takes it to personal.

Hear some buzz from the Senior Bowl the Cowboys will use one of their top 2 picks on WR.....looking for a top player to pair with Lamb

Those are the bell cows, they can put together a dual back rushing attack as well.

This suggests the likes of Burden, Ebukia are definitely in play!
Exactly what I'm thinking ........I trade-down could also be in play. I know it's early but I have not heard or read any WR prospects to get excited about after the top 3-4. After that, you have to ask if are we better off going the free-agent route. For what it's worth, I'm buying Diggs to play with his brother until he officially signs with another team.

I like the idea of trading down and grabbing someone like Burden / Egbuka while adding a 3rd.

It’s a weird WR year. No blue chippers and only 2 consensus 1st rounders but a tooooon of top 50ish type guys.

The best value actually might be in the 3rd waiting for a 2nd tier player to fall.

Yea......I was just telling Cowboyny if we can't get Burden or Egbuka, free agent may be the best route. I'm not sure the 4th or 5th best WR in this draft can give us the true impact of a #2. I think a few free-agent vets could help at a reasonable price.

I’m good with a FA but it’s a bunch of older dudes or guys coming off injury.

I’d still be looking to add a WR early even if it’s the 2nd / 3rd. A lot of guys that I think can develop into a quality 2 with more upside than Tolbert.

True but there's a sense of urgency........Dak's a free agent in 3 years. We have an out from his deal in 2 ........
This is why Dak says Shotty is tied directly to his career

I hear you…that’s why I’d be on board with a FA AND an early WR In just not going to force the pick for need.

Diggs or Hollywood would likely come at a slight discount coming off of injury and would give you some insurance with drafting a rookie.

At least once.

For example, if they traded down 4 spots with Arizona that would net their 3rd pick the 78th pick just 2 picks after our own 76th pick.

Cowboys would then pick at 18, 44, 76 and 78.

The Cowboys couldn't fill all their needs if they had 3 picks in the 1st and 2nd rounds. If they do nothing in free agency, you're heading into another season with massive holes everywhere. They need a direction and a plan on both sides of the ball. IMO, they have to build both lines or everything else is just window dressing that will crumble against good teams and/or in the playoffs.

not this year, not enough blue chip players to warrant a trade up for most teams.

Because I don't drink the juice Jerry sells to you. I already can see it. Zero strength, always leaving the game with minor injuries. This guy wont be in the league in 4 years and the only reason why he will be in the league for 4 years is because of his draft spot and hey it's Jerrys team.
Sometimes OT’s take time to develop. To say 23 year old kid is trash after one NFL season is unfair especially when he was considered an unpolished prospect coming in.

Especially when you’re citing issues that can be cured for a young man with training like strength & durability.

Him or bringing back Cooper. I agree, receiver is in play
