I thought Pollard did a great job last night hitting the creases that presented themselves. You can see when he hits it he's on the accelerator from the jump. Zeke has trained himself to "be patient and look for the hole" but in reality with the current scheme the holes either aint there or they only stay there for an instant. Pollard's superior acceleration allows him to get to those creases that Zeke can't. I have been saying for three years that Pollard is better suited for the offense we now run. Zeke is never going to get going taking all those shotgun handoffs. He's a downhill runner and we're trying to turn him into Barry Sanders. It's stupid. I like the mix of the two players.. but this scheme is always going to favor a back like Pollard.. Unless of course we get really stupid and start giving him the ball 20 times a game.. and we get to see how durable he is..

RonnieT24......are we saying Zeke doesn't fit in KMoore's offensive schemes?

I mentioned it in previous posts. If the OC's run plays, oline's blocking and RBs downhill running can continue, this team will win more reg. season games than they lose regardless of bus driver QB.

The dee will keep them close.
IF they can find last year's first 6-7 game offensive balance then they will have last year's same first half of the year success.

I hope it can last for more than 7 games this year.

I get excited when we run over people.

He's a great runner.

I think Kellen found a good balance on both Zeke and Pollard tonight.

Pollard is explosive.

#20 :starspin:

Maybe there is light coming through the darkness. Zeke seems better in a lessor role. And with Pollard its just a matter of time before he breaks one.

Dude, shut the hell up. Everyone on this site knows you have been begging for Zeke to be the workhorse back. You diss Pollard every chance you get and have been complaining lately that poor little zeke isnt getting enough touches anymore.

Just admit you were dead wrong and lets move on.

Just last week you were bragging about Zeke outplaying Pollard the first two weeks. Which was laughable.

More Pollard, less Zeke.
this is a dumb statement. Sorry both played great KM used them both effectively some games more pollard some games more zeke. they are teammates and a very good compliment to each other.

where were you game 1 when pollard was horrible? zeke ran great and not used the same way, not enough carries game 1 especially in the 2nd half.

As a general note, I thought KM did a good job last night balancing Zeke and Pollard. I really liked the dual looks.

+1. That 10 yard run late in the game by Pollard exemplifies this. The hole there was tiny and only there for a fraction of a second. No way Zeke gets through that.

It is dumb. We need both of these guys. I've been complaining KM doesn't know how to use iether one properly....but it appears he has vastly improved.

right, think about this post game all talk about was SB game ..Ironically Zeke and Barleys stats almost identical. remember pregame all weel the SB vs Zeke. Zeke shred carries and still matches Barkley's game. fans need to stop..jeez.. Zeke gets zero luv and 2 straight years now when healthy has ran WELL..

Not just a balance as in numbers....but calling the right plays matter too.
well he damn sure should have called a Zeke up the middle on 4th and 1 to eat up more time. Instead he calls a pas play Moore infuriates me sometimes with his failed trickery and timing of calls. But hey we won

Good point star! When you WANT to waste a down he doesn't.
