It's just an opinion that some disagree with, but I think its a play with the specific intent to cause injury. Dak's broken ankle was from a hip drop tackle, same as Pollard's broken leg last season. When Mahomes went down with his ankle the season before last - yep, another hip drop. When you intentionally throw your full weight onto the back of a runners legs, the result is going to be an injury in more cases than not.

The players who use this technique know what they are doing. In Pollard's case it totally changed the playoff game last season. SF was headed for a loss because Pollard was torching them. So what do they do? Hip drop him, break his leg, and change the course of the game.

We can guarantee one thing - the 2nd a Dallas defender uses the play and causes an injury it will be immediately banned. Sure, it's a tin foil comment, but prove me wrong.
This hip drop also shortened Elliot’s career. It happened to him his last two years here. Once when Dak was out and we played vikings. Then the next season after he scored a td and was tackled in the endzone. If his ankles wet taped up the way they were something would have broke. But instead hurt his knee..

Add me to the lot of people crowd,... I believe it starts with the cornerstone positions and the trench line wars.

if your QB is a turnover machine and cannot connect and sustain drives, that's gonna lead in sinking your team.
Good thing we don’t have that type of guy

It’s going to be a real challenge trying to run against that San Francisco front. We couldn’t run against them in the playoffs this past January. They rank number three against the run. Too many of you are focusing on individual players looking for revenge. For the Cowboys to win this game they need to play great as a team.
I said it’s about the pits

Shouldn't we talk about not talking before the game but only proving it on the field because if that was Elliott making those statements everyone would be all over him or 4... So I'm gonna say it let's stop talking about revenge and just put it out on the field and we'll discuss it afterwards how you felt before the game..
Come on I’m a fan I have that luxury

Pollard is just counting his $10 million cool. These guys don't take these games personal, just business.

lol like i thought. never said revenge or anything like that. said the game left a bad taste in his mouth and he felt like he let the team down. so relax with the “maybe you should keep up” stuff. wasn’t said.
Doesn't matter Tony Pollard fumble the football already not running well he doesn't deserve to be the number one it's quite obvious now
