Tony Pollard is the best weapon on this team, Zeke is the best RB

There may be some, but fans always see replacing players as a lot easier than it is. Remember when Bo Scarbrough was some great late-round find? Or how about Mike Weber of Darius Jackson? Joseph Randle good enough for you?

Out of eight backs taken by us since 2011 (when we got Murray), only three have had much success (Elliott, Murray and Pollard). Now, all three of those were the only ones taken before the fifth round, but either we've been real lucky or real good at drafting because not every team can say that.

I'm fine with ridding of Zeke and using a second or a third to bring in a new RB or looking to FA. Kareem Hunt is someone I'd be keeping my eye on since he will never be taking that spot from Nick Chubb.

Okay. Im just not making the connection there us some conspiracy about it.[shrug]
You could be 100% correct there is no conspiracy but posting months of videos no one can click-and-see on CowboysZone is beyond intentional. Members should be courteous by making it easier for their fellow members to view or read material they post, not harder.

Tony Pollard needs to be utilized more as a WR on the field with Zeke at RB. His ability to create separation and take passes for TDs can bring this offense back into top 10. The early commitment to Zeke’s power run will continue to allow Pollard to make explosive plays.

So, the best RB is averaging 4.1 yards per carry, and the not as good RB who believe should be playing WR is averaging 5.6 yards per carry ...?

If you know football it’s not only about yards but physicality as well. I do know Tony Pollard can do both and create separation running routes than any WR on this roster.

You can be the toughest SOB on the field, but if you average 1.5 yards per carry less than another RB you aren't as effective.

But as for physicality, even though Zeke is stronger, Pollard is getting more yards after contact on runs up the middle than Zeke. Pollard is better at keeping the legs driving.

And even so, there is no reason both can't be positive players from the RB position. Pollard can still be split out wide occasionally, but he clearly is having a very positive effect out of the backfield, and it makes no sense to take that away

That doest even make any sense. Just stop coddling your hero Zeke. Pollard is better, end of story. Its not even close. But you probably dont want to feature Pollard 25 times a game you need another back. And it should probably be a short yardage bruiser like Zeke. So they compliment each other really well. It just need to be more runs for Pollard than for Zeke.

At least the coaching staff has gotten them to around equal runs most of the time. And we are seeing the benefits of that. The offense is much better when Pollard is in there and Zeke is actually better with less carries.

Hmm...an almost rational post from the OP. I'm at a loss for words.

Most explosive runner, but absolutely clueless about how to play the position full time.

Pollard is a better runner in EVERY way and its not close. Same with catching the ball.

Some of you people are just hopeless. After all this, you still want to pay and feature Zeke. Mind numbing to say the least.

I do like Kareem Hunt, however. But it does appear he is slowing down a bit this season.

I agree but Zeke is averaging more than 1.5 yards and having Pollard out more as WR allows both of them on the field at the same time. It also doesn’t stop Pollard from being a RB a simple motion by Dak can kick either one out wide and keep the other as primary RB.

What is so difficult about hitting the link that directs you to Youtube? It might be a small annoyance, but it certainly isn't hard.

It really is hilarious listening to these Zeke apologist try to defend their hero. There is NO defense, but they try.

He isn't he's a fb, he falls forward and doesn't break tackles hardly ever. He's horrible catching the ball out of the backfield. He can block well.

It is not difficult. A link takes a visitor from this site to another site, which can be an annoyance to anyone wanting to view videos solely on CowboysZone. Perhaps hard is the wrong word but the process is certainly not easier for anyone not wanting to be redirected away from this site.

I didn't say Zeke is averaging 1.5 yards per carry, I said he is averaging 1.5 yards per carry less than Pollard.

If you are just talking about an occasional play with Zeke at RB and Pollard wide, there is nothing wrong with that. But if you are talking about taking our most effective RB out of the rotation at RB altogether that doesn't make much sense. The passing game is more effective when opponents are worried about stopping the run, and the Cowboys are more able to make opponents worry about that when the run game is as effective as possible.

If you know football you'd know we need BOTH running backs to be effective, not channeling the one that's better in space into a WR and allowing the defense to scheme for it. As it, a little here and there is fine.

Didn’t he average 20+ yards per reception?

You're not alone. When I post a you tube video I don't pay any attention to that. Unless it's against forum rules, what difference does it make? Either way you get to see the clip.
